Mysterious Cat Deaths
Before I go into detail I want to make it perfectly clear it is imperative for the lives of the remaining cats that the information of the location of these cats, and the husband and wife who care for them is not disclosed to anyone, other than those willing to help.
In the last 2 weeks 8 seemingly healthy, well cared for cats in this large colony have turned up either missing or dead. The remains of one was found in a shed, and had been dead for some time, however this guy was at least 10 years old and sickly towards the end, as upsetting as it was finding him it was not a major surprise. However within the last 2 days 2 of the colony that previously appeared totally healthy have been found dead in the temporary shelters that have been set up. There was no sign of trauma; they were in great body condition, no nasal discharge, no sign of vomiting, and no blood nothing, just dead.
These cats are fed daily, given supplements, and if injured or sick are seen by a vet, the husband and wife team do this entirely out of their own pockets. Despite pleas for help to local shelters and rescues for assistance , no one will help these cats.
At this point let me say these are not truly feral cats, some of them are previous house pets that have been take out to this spot and dumped, others have been born there but are semi socialized. There are at least 10 who, with a little effort would love to curl up on someones lap.
Obviously there fear is someone is killing these cats.
So why not go to the media I hear ppl say well here is the problem, these cats need to be protected because these cats have been dumped in a bird sanctuary/ conservation area and the legislators are wanting to pass laws killing the feral cats in all bird sensitive areas. Any many who work with ferals and strays know how hard it can be when ordinances read that if you feed them for more than 2 weeks they are legally yours. This is the reason for the secrecy.
Due to the sudden deaths of these HEALTHY cats there is an urgent need to step things up. They are in desperate need for rescue space for the adoptable cats.
Besides the obvious need for donations of food, shelters, and money for TNR, medical treatment etc, there is a more urgent need for homes for the cats that can be rehabilitated.
If anyone feels they are able to help please contact me and I will put you in touch with the husband and wife team that are caring for these cats. These ppl are not a 501 rescue, there will be no tax kickbacks if you donate anything, these are just a genuine caring couple that has cared for over 40 cats for at least the last 3 years out of their own pockets. There are many more that they cannot afford to care for. They have successfully taken over 25 cats off of the streets already and simply need rescue space to help place more!
They and the cats now need your help; will you be willing to step up where no one else will? Will you please consider opening up a rescue space for 1 deserving cat who is living in a brutal enviornment. Please help take the fear out of feral and gives these strays a chance at love and life. They deserve to know warmth and safety. Many are under a year old. Please help

He's here in the house!!!!!!!!!!!Warm, safe and mad,lol Gary put a trail of treats in the carrier and just closed to door behind him!
He is the tabby baby about 8 months or so that begs at my door every night. We will call about a neuter and testing tomorrow. But at least he is safe and warm. It's a windy rainy night here and I couldn't watch another 9hr stay of him flipping andf pawing at the door.
Now let's pray for an adopter.
