I just caught her in the act. Usually my dragon tree (which is said to be slightly toxic to cats and dogs) is out of reach, but I gave a dry leave to Luna earlier today because she loves playing with these leaves. None of my cats ever ate from the dragon tree, but I just saw Lily chewing on it, and when I took the leave back from her, half of it was already missing. Oh, and she was very upset when I took the leave away from her, she cried with a loud voice to let me know she doesn't agree...

Well, I hope this won't cause any damage to her. I searched the internet and learnt that the toxic substance, saponine, may upset the stomach, but only when bigger amounts of it have been eaten. Well, I hope Lily will be alright.

Anyone here with some dragon tree experiences?

I Would Check On The Computer To See If There Are Any Toxic Side Effects , And What An Antidote Would Be, Although Cats Generally Are Smart Enough Not To Eat Poisons.
We Are Praying That Lily Is All Right.

I made a choice a long time ago... Plants or cats...

I hope she's feeling alright. I also have no plants in my house... the kitties I have always had have always been too naughty to keep plants!

Please let us know that she's alright.

She's fine, thanks! :)

Looks like the leave didn't do any harm to her stomach. But I'll better be more careful in the future.
