I just noticed the leaves are turning colors....

You know what that means!

Time to think about thanksgiving!

The colour time is already over here- so all rain and it will be wet snow for the weekend (that is NOT the white glitzy stuff ;))

Slick I am so jealous!!! Our trees didn't turn very pretty this year. A few orange ones but no pretty red ones!!! Now the leaves are falling off.
I was robbed by mother nature!!!! :D

The leaves have finally been turning this week where we are - so now it's time to leaf-vac the back yard - but there are as many leaves still in the tree as there are covering the ground in a golden layer. It is late for us, the leaves are usually off the trees by now, with the drought this summer, and the odd weather, things are different this year.

I think chai is like popcorn - one should always make enough to share with everyone, as it is so fragrant, there's no hiding it!

fall leaf color is late here too. my trees here are 45- 50 years old. the sweet gum in the back was very severly pruned back by the electric company last fall, it might not make another year, sigh. this year instead of being brilliant orange, it's soft yellow. the sugar maple in the front is now orangy red. both trees are still 2/3 full. some most on the street are red, orange and yellow. i love how it looks. tired of the raking, but i love my trees. a decaf spanish coffee for me. i love fall. lady, come sit next to me, i can rub your ears...

Hey, I smell coffee brewing - could I please have a cuppa? I brought my recipe file because I am to bring a fruit dish for Thanksgiving. kfamr posted that she was going to make pumpkin biscotti for her dogs with the pumpkin "innards" from Jack-o-lantern carving. Which got me thinking I also need to bring a dessert for Thanksgiving and I have a family member who is NOT a pumpkin pie fan ... so I found the following ... look at the name of the site (elise) - that's my name although I don't spell it that way anymore! So, Kfamr, I think I'll be bringing pumpkin biscotti to Thanksgiving at my sister's.
