This lovely old gent is in our local kill shelter. If Northeastern Boxer Rescue can't get someone to get him by Saturday, I am picking him up and driving him four hours away to Scranton. I'm silently hoping that the other person won't show. I would love the opportunity to spend four hours with him.

8/07/02 - Apollo is a 7 year old, fawn male that is good with kids, cats & other dogs. He was left at a shelter when his family moved. He is a good dog. You can see him if yo click below.

How can a family just give up a pet dog? Wouldn't you try to find a home for the poor thing before you decide to move or give him to a shelter. I suppose, some folks just don't think about the poor animals and do what is good for everyone else.

Thank goodness there are kind rescuers out there like you! Bless your heart!

Beth, you are an angel to do this!!!

He is adorable. I hate what happens to the faithful dogs who get thrown aside like this. Killian is 8 and I would never, ever think of discarding him, even with liver disease!!!

What you are doing is a heroic thing. Those of you who work rescue will be welcomed with open paws at Rainbow Bridge!!!!
