My Nephew Jason called tonight and told Mom they had to put Austin, their Golden Retriever down,he had Cancer and was 10 years old.Their oldest kid Lauren ,7 took it a little harder than her brother Ryan, 5.He is a little young to understand what is going on.It cost $89 to put him down and it was another $400 for Ultrasound and blood tests he had got.Jason was going to go out to his Father-In-Law's to dig a grave.Jason still has to build a box to bury him in.In time, they will get another dog, right now they have a cat and that will help ease the pain.I am sure Ruffles and Dad were there to greet Austin as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge, free of his pain.

Oh Barry, how sad. It never seems to matter how old our pets are, they always leave too soon! Hugs to the family. Play and have fun at the Bridge, dear Austin!
