Hey guys!
Have we ever had a game where there is a breed, and then you try to guess them? Well, if you have let's play again. If we haven't do you think we should?

I also have a question, if I post a pic will you tell me if it shows up?
I am not really experienced with posting pics.:o

yep! I told you it would be simple to some people, should I do another breed, or should I put pictures of rare breeds?
What do you think would be more exiting?

Aspen and Misty

I don't really care. I think it would be better if you made it a little harer. Myabe post some pecifics abtu the breed like how tall they are or how much they should weigh where they come from what they are used for...stuff liek that or you can continue to post pictures...just some suggestions...Ash

That is a wonderful idea! I never thought about that. I think I will stick with the game. Now I will post a pic, and I will put the things that you have to guess on the post.
Thank you Aspen and Misty for the ideas!

How much does this dog weigh?
Example: 10-11 pounds?

Clue: This dog breed is also called "monkey dog".

Aspen and Misty,
You may guess again, but if you don't mind please add the breed of the dog.
Clues:
Weight is lower than 10-15 pounds.
Is not in Terrier group.
If you need a different picture, I will sure try to find one. This breed was a tough one to find pictures of!
Thank you for playing!:D

Hunting class
wt 60-90 lbs

just guessing on weight and class (probably wrong) but I think I have the breed right. It also goes by another name, spin something...

Am I even close??

Aspen and Misty
08-12-2002, 11:04 PM
No...its not a griffin. Its not in the hunting class either. and the weight is close.

The classes it can be in are as followed.

The Sporting Group, The hound group, The working group, The terrier group, The Toy group, The Non-Sporting group, The Herding Group.

Have fun! And please, take another guess!

Do you guys want me to do a easier breed?

Aspen and Misty
08-13-2002, 05:19 PM
Since no one is guessing what breed it is..I will guess you all gave up. Well it was a Spinone Italiano. Weight- 62-71 Highth- 22.5-22.5 (lol).

Well here si a picture of the new dog. You have to guess the breed of the dog. And thats it. Cause I think it will be hard, but if you knwo the dog then try and guess its weight and highth!

Since I can't spell worth crap I looked it up.

The Italian Spinone and Italian Griffon are the same according to Spinone Club of America. I stuck an extra "e" in the Spinone (that's what I get for typing after midnight). I didn't put the "Italian" part in there because I thought it'd been specified the breed came from Italy.

I just looked up the other... you guys were probably wondering what they'd changed my medication to! LOL!!

I can't spell and my typing sucks... guess that could mean I always win!

You can finish the one you started and I'll start researching to find something suitable. That way, when someone gets the one you've got up now, they can have a little time to find something stumpable (is that a word?).

You've already given us an extremely high bar to reach as far as obscure breeds goes. (I just happened to have an uncle who raised Ita. Griffons YEARS ago, that's the only reason I had a clue.)

I'm confused....not that it takes much...which dog are we guessing on?? The black and white one or the fuzzy one?? The black and white one looks like a border with pointy ears and I HAVE seen the breed, but can't think of it. The last one is of a border...I'm almost positive. The other one I don't have a clue. Dogz....is the first one a pudelpointer??

Aspen and Misty
08-15-2002, 01:47 PM
Mugsy,

We are looking for the first dog. I posted to picture of the border collie so that you could compare and see that it is not infact a border collie. We are guessing this dog...

I love my ABby girl you are so close! I will give you guys some clues. This is what my book says about there temperment. BTW you gusy only have to guess the breed now.

****** *** means the dogs name was here but is now replaced.

Not only does the ****** *** exel as a herder, but it also proven itsself in a variety of tasks invloving dependability and obedience. This is a intellegent, devoted, docile dog that is quite tractable and willing to please. it is aloof toward strangers and protective of its family. The ****** *** is generlly good with other houshould pets and dogs, but it may be agrresive toward strange dogs. I tis a natural guadian and tends to bark alot.

Aditional information.

AKC ranking: 103
Family: Livestock, herding, Primitive, Southern (Pariah)
Area of Orgin: Isreal
Date of orgin: Ancient Times
Origanl function: Sentry, messenger, and assitance
Today's function: Herding Trials
Other name: Kalef K'naani

SOrry this is so hard, I know like 4 people around ehre who own these dogs (not many dog owners aroudn here) and so I figured th ey were popular. Good luck everyone!

Hint: use the other name

Aspen and Misty

CLUE: Use the breed's otehr name!

Ok well here is some more info on the breed.

****** *** have evolved through hundreds and perhaps thousnads of year of hardship. It is thought that the breed orignated in biblical Canaan and were known as Kelev Kanani (Dog of Canaan) When the Israelites were dispersed from tehre homeland by teh romans 2000 years ago. Most of the Isreal dogs were let to fend for themselves in the Sebulon Coastle Plain and Nagev Desert. Bodounins captured male puppies from the wild to raise as guard and livestock dogs. When the Isreali Defense Force tried to develop service dogs in the 1930's, the traditonal European service breeds weren't able to adapt to the harsh climits. The ****** *** owes its existence primirly to the efforts of one women, Dr. Rudolphina Menzel. Her search for a more sutible dog led her to the native Feral dogs. Sevral dogs were captures, and a breeding and training program was begun. The dogs quickly proved there worth, serving as sentry dogs, messengers, mine detectores, red cross helpers and ever location of wounded soldiers during the Second Worl Was and as guide dogs for the blind after the war. Perhaps no other breed of dog has risen from feral roots to become such a useful and deficated compainion in so short a time. The first ****** *** came to America in 1965. Not the flashest bof breeds, the ****** understated good looks may have made many people over look it, despite its compainionship credentials. Nonetheless, its slowly attracted admirers and the AKC finally admited it into the Herding griyo in 1977. Now begining a new era as a sow dog, the increased exposure is sure to attract more people looking for a loyal and hardy pet.

You have 2 days otehr whys I am goign ot let Vi Co Bi put a breed up.
