I wanted people's opinion if I should have one or two piggies in a cage. My cage is pretty big. My piggy is almost 2 years old and is a female. :)

It depends how big the cage is and if your two piggies are bonded.I have heard of people keeping 4 together but there cages where huge.

Where I used to work we had 3 rescued guinea pigs in one cage (it was a large "rabbit" cage). Two of them were rescued together and the third, also a rescue, came later. The third was slowly introduced to the other two over a period of time. When everyone was comfortable with each other we put the third in the same cage with the other two. We closely watched them and they did great together.

One pig is all you can fit in the "Standard" Guinea or even rabbit Cage.. The best thing to do is make a C&C Cage. *Google it if you are not sure what it is*. And then you can make it as big as you need.

Two guinea pigs can keep each other company, but make sure they are good with each other and make sure they definatly have enough room. A normal guinea pig cage will not be big enough for two.

My guinea pig cage is a pretty good size. Do any of you know approximately how much a C&C cage costs??? (a pretty big one, probablly with two levels. :)

sorry I have no idea, but as long as your cage is big/tall/long enough you should be fine letting them stay together as long as they get along ok
