I just got a new foster cat and having her in the house is making Oliver pretty PEE'od.

He wont stop spraying (he is neutered), today I got to work before I realized I was wearing smelly jeans. :o

He sprayed on Scarlett the foster kitty's bed yesterday and on the TV the day before.

Please please please tell me there is something I could do to discourage this.

I'd cage him to protect the house if you are sure it is him... Someone else may have a better idea.

I HAD THAT PROBLEM THE ODD TIME THAT A FOSTER WILL SET A FOUND CAT OFF, BUT THEY WERE ISOLATED INCIDENTS.
IF BOTH CATS ARE MALE, THEN THATS GOING TO BE HARD TO STOP.
I AM SURE THAT OTHER PET TALKERS CAN HELP YOU BETTER THAN I.

Oliver is a neutered male about 5 or 6 years old.

Scarlett is a spayed female about 13.

They are the only cats in the house, I know it is 100% Oliver as I have seen him spraying.

Is there a space or room that could be for the foster only? I think separating him from your two cats would be a big help, at least for several weeks until Oliver can meet him gradually.

Right now the foster is pretty much only in my room. Oliver has been able to enter and leave the room whenever he has wanted, but since he sprayed in there, it has been off limits.

I hate shutting him out of the room, but I don't know what else to do. Hopefully he will turn back into his loveable, gumpy, non-peeing cat soon.
