To the Mom of Lucy~
My deepest, most heartfelt sympathies go out to you on the loss of your beautiful bunny and best friend Lucy, and your own Mom, as well. After reading your deeply touching tribute it's clear "best friend" doesn't begin to describe what your precious girl Lucy meant to you, the place she held and will always hold, in your heart. How blessed we are to have our furkids to turn to for comfort and support during our most difficult of days; their quiet, patient, unconditional love is a priceless gift, especially during our time of grief.
You have been through so much, suffered such monumental loss, and I can only hope that seeing your beautiful Lucy honored here today in some small measure, brings you comfort, puts a smile on your face. Lucy is more than just a Pet of the Day honoree, she holds the greatest honor of all, best friend, soul mate, Pet of a Lifetime.
Lucy was so blessed to have a Mom as loving as you and you so blessed to have a best friend, first furkid in Lucy. I hope that one day, when you're ready, you will be able to open your heart up to another deserving creature so she/he can experience the wonderful life, the devotion you have to offer. No one can ever replace your precious Lucy, but will in her own special way, find a place in your heart right beside Lucy and her legacy of love will live on. I think Lucy would want that for her Mom:)
Lucy, beautiful girl, God must have been in need of a very special fur-angel to have taken you from your Mom. Please send down your love to her to comfort her until that happy day in the distant future, when you and she are reunited in love.:) Until then, romp and binky happily at the Rainbow Bridge with all our most beloved fur-angels.
