Perhaps he was born with something that would have given him a lot of pain and discomfort if he had grown up with it. Mother Nature is cruel, but has her reasons.

Little Sprite Was Walking Up The Meadow To The Rainbow Bridge A Little Alone And Sad. Then Elle And Almond Rocca Baton Flew Over And Accepted Sprite Into Thier Growing Family Of Eternal Kittens.
Sprite Told Them Of The Nice Place He Was In And How The Wonderful Cat Lady Tried So Hard To Save Him.
Theres A Dinner In His Honor At The Golden Ox In Kansas City.
And One Day Jen, Sprite With His Wings And Silver And Gold Will Meet You , And You Will Be Together With All The Angels Of The Cats That You Loved And Helped Out.
