Hi, I ordered 4 new pairs of glasses from Zenni Optical because both Debbie and Kim had been pleased with their orders from this company. I usually only use my glasses for driving and I've been wanting to have prescription sunglasses for a long time without spending a lot of money.
The glasses came in about 10 days and I love all 4 of them. I now have 2 pairs of sunglasses and 2 pairs of regular glasses. I tried taking these pictures of myself so they aren't the best but you can see what they look like on me. All 4 pairs were under $100 which inlcuded shipping and handling.

These were $17.90 and I added the anti-reflective coating. They are the stainless steel frames which I think were $12.

These were $19.85 and they're the stainless steel tri-top half-rim. The frames were $8 and I added the anti-reflective coating and the 80% Amber tint to them.

These were $22.85 and they're metal alloy with a spring hinge and I think that the frames were $12. I also added the anti-flective coating and 80% Amber tint to them.

These were $28.90 and are the bendable (memory) titanium half-rim frame and the frame was $20 something. I added the anti-flective coating to these too.
Thanks for looking.:)

Those look nice Tracey! :D
I ordered a pair but they haven't come yet. I have a follow up with my eye dr on Monday and am going to get my Pupillary Distance measured b/c the last measurement was in 2003. I am going to see how I like the ones I ordered and go from there. :)

Wow Tracey, all those glasses for under $100! What a deal!
You guys have sold me on this. I called around and found out my eye dr. has to give me my prescription if I request it so I'm going to demand he give it to me when I go in Nov. for my exam. I want some hot deal glasses. He's refused to give it to me in the past. In fact, I'm going to ask when I make the appointment and if they tell me they don't give out prescriptions again I'll just find a new dr. who will.

Yes, whenever you get a new prescription your doctor should write it down and give you a copy and it's good for 2 years. I just go to Costco and have mine done for $45. Since my Dad had a detached retina in both of his eyes I also have to have my pupils dilated and it's supposed to cost another $15 but since I've been a good customer for so many years he never charges me for this.:)
This website which shais_mom has already posted doesn't even ask for a copy of your prescription or a phone number of your eye doctor. I was kind of surprised by this. I didn't know my pupilary distance so I called Costco and they gave it to me over the phone. I had glasses made there several years ago and even though they said it might change I just went with the old one and it was correct. Usually it shouldn't change. I did go back to Costco to have my new glasses adjusted free of charge so now they fit me better.
Some people haven't liked their glasses from Zenni Optical and they said that if they had a problem that the customer service was horrible. My Dad found some websites about this and warned me about it. I now have a very mild prescription since I had Lasik surgery back in Jan. 2000 so I didn't have any problems.
They do have a guarantee which says:We take great pride in delivering a quality product at incredibly low prices. Every prescription order is meticulously checked by certified technicians for prescription accuracy and optical clarity before shipment. Since all orders are unique all sales must be final so please be extra careful in filling out your order.
Even so since we value your satisfaction above all if you are unsatisfied with your prescription eyeglasses for any reason just return the eyeglass with the order copy and case within four weeks and we will refund 50% of the cost of the glasses. We do not reimburse for shipping and handling.
Thanks for all of the nice comments.:) I think that the glasses look much better in person than they do in these pictures.:)

I just bought these in brown...including s&h and bifocals = $29.95!! I lost my other ones that have a thin frame. I'm wearing geeky frames that scream EYEGLASSES!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully my new ones will take care of that problem.

Okay, I am afraid I have to be the dumb blonde here. I would love to get a pair (or two) of these glasses. I have been trying to figure this out since catnapper got her glasses. I just had my eyes examined in June, my doctor always automatically gives me a handwritten prescription for glasses, but I don't see all of the numbers and things that they ask for on their site. I cannot figure out where to find all of the information I need to order them. Do I need to go back and tell him he has to write down 8 sets of numbers for me? How did everyone else figure this out? :o

:) I just plugged in the numbers. I took the O.D as RIGHT (b/c I know that that number matches my right eye prescription) and O.S as LEFT.
I just plugged in the sphere-cylinder-axis.
and must get your pupillary distance. which for me they just put a computer thing up to my face.
the other spots were left blank b/c that is the prescription they gave me..
