My sister's cat, Mitzi got very sick last night and they had to take her to the ER. She ended up staying the night and today Julia took her to their vet. Her white cell count was way up so the vet suspected cancer. And that was what it was - intestional cancer and it was so far advanced that there was nothing they could do for her. So Julia had to make the decision we all hate to make - to put her down. Mitzi was 14 years old and a very beautiful, loving cat. She really loved her mom a lot and was always sitting on her lap or meowing so Julia would come get her. Julia's cats are her babies and she will miss Mitzi a lot. (she has 3 others). Here are a few pictures of her.

What a beautiful girl, with some light colours on her tummy - she reminds me of a dilute Tortie. :)
Mitzi, you lived a long and beloved life with your people, and you could not have had a better home. Be at peace, baby girl.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My Mitzi sends head-bumpies too. Her brother, Mishi, just went to the bridge this past July. I'm sure he'll greet your Mitzi when she gets there. :(

Is this the sister I met when we all went to the Great American Mutt Show in Toledo? If so her cats were just beautiful and I'm sure I must have seen this gorgeous girl.
Please tell her that send my condolences.

Frolick heartily at the Rainbow Bridge, sweet Mitzi. It sounds like you were as loving a cat as you were a beautiful one. Maybe you can whisper a loving purr to your Meowmy as she's missing you.

Mitzi was truly a beautiful kitty. What a shock this must be for Julia. Even though Mitzi lived a good and fruitful life, it is devastating to have her become ill and be unable to help her to return to health. Please tell Julia we understand her pain. I hope the other kitties are able to provide some solace for Julia. Hopefully Mitzi will make one of those *secret missions* to provide a bit of comfort too.

Yes, Anna, this is the sister you met after the show in Toledo. She has a great backyard for dogs, doesn't she? But her love has always been for cats.
Thanks all of you for your kind comments. I am sure Julia feel better too. I told her I started the thread but she is not ready to look at it.

I know how badly your heart aches right now, and the remaining kitties will need extra love and support to see their way through, too. May the memories you have of your beauty bring you comfort in time. RIP, sweet Mitzi, you were much loved.

This is the sister you met after the show in Toledo.
She has a great backyard for dogs, doesn't she?
But her love has always been for cats.
If I remember, the Kats invited all the Dogs into the back sunroom to warm up and
share some bisquits ... rather a Friendly Bunch, they were! :)
We'll ask Bowser to keep an eye on Mitzi - they'll get along just fine!
Again - our Sympathies to Sis!
