My hubby wrote this poem in Thumper's honor

For Thumper

You would snuggle on my arm
as I laid on the bed;
whacking me with your tail
while I stroked your auburn fur.
You would purr quietly
with your eyes staring into mine;
listening to me as I talked to you
like a father to a child.

You would jump upon the sink
and ask me to turn on the faucet;
lapping water with your eager tongue,
drinking until you had your fill.
Stretched out where the sun appeared,
you would sleep for hours;
enjoying the simple pleasures
life gave you every day.

I miss you so much Thumper,
but I know it’s for the best.
Cancer took its toll on you
yet, you fought him long and hard.
Now you are in Heaven,
and your body is made whole again.
I’ll always remember you my Thumper cat,
until we see each other once more.

Awe... that poem is so sweet and touching.

Your hubby sounds like a really thoughtful and sentimental guy. Not too many of them around these days (Jen L's Charlie is another one of the few good guys out there)... you're very lucky to have your hubby!

And in New Orleans Thumper and Butterscotch are reading your poem.
They are sad as they miss being with thier Guardians.
But they know that they went to the Rainbow Bridge first for a reason.
They are there to be part of the Pet Angel Army and scour the World to look for wonderful places to dine and stay when they are reunited Guardians so everyone has a great reunion.
One Fine Day.

Major LES over here! I'm so sorry that your beloved Thumper has lost her last battle. She fought so long and hard, and you did everything possible to help her.
