Hes getting castrated.

Im so nervous! Ive contacted the best vet about 2 hours away, :D and hes due in on wednesday. Hes showing aggression to Ronnie so I was told to get it done early.

I phoned up a rat rescue lady who I trust alot and she recommended this vet and the lady doing it, The rescue lady told me that the vet has done over 100 rescues for her and has only ever had 1 die but it was risky anyway, so thats made me feel a bit better but I will still be nervous.

I cannot believe how silly some receptionists are, One lady asked me to hold on the phone while she asked the vet if they could do the surgery because hes never done it before. That phone call was short lived.!

One vet was going to charge me £100 and thats not including the £30 consultation and any check up fees after.

The lady who is doing the surgery now is only charging me £30 for everything. :)

Good luck to your boy! :D
I know how hard it is to find a decent rat vet. I'm so happy that the best exotic vet in this part of Arkansas is only an hour away from me. All of his patients say that he can fix anything^^.

I know you will still be nervous, I would be, too! Good vibes will be headed your way for you & Dudley when he is scheduled to be altered.

I had two boys neutered (way back in the past when I still had rodents) and they recovered very quick from the surgery and became the best rats I ever had....

I feel sick when I think of it. lol

Not too sure if I should use a kitten carrier or his usual carrier because he can get his head halfway through the kitten carrier

I have this carrier hes used to so I may need to stick to this one http://www.fishfurfeather.com/images/ferplast/73005099.jpg
