Okay, so after thinking alot about the horse and looking up Navicular disease and learning alot about it. Me and my friend thought it was worth another trip up to see if I should really get that horse or not. (And I had a gut feeling that I shouldn't and would be looking for a new horse.)

So when we got there we looked the paint gelding all over and found that he had multiple bruises on every hoof. He was favouring one main leg which he always had stretched out so his weight was on the toe and not the frog of the hoof. He didn't even like moving around much because I think he was in pain.:( So I knew that if I took him I would be getting myself into a horrible situation and experience. I felt soo bad for him, I just hope that someone with lots of money could come and take him and give him the proper care he needs.

So I quickly found another horse I really liked. It's a Black Quarter Horse Mare. She's 5 years old and already broke. Of course right now she has brown on her thanks to the sun lol. But here are some pics of her.

She looks really tall because I'm really short, but she's only 14.2hh.

Here I was scratching under her mane which she just loved.

That foal liked to follow her around even though she's not is mother.

So that is her. And there's a plus side. If I was buying him I would have to wait til October to get him, but she is cheaper (because shes not registered yet) so I may have her by Thursday!:D

I was crying alot though when I had to say goodbye to that paint gelding. I just am so scared that he will go to a meat factory and that no one will want him. This horse place has 80 some horses, so its hard for them to look after every single horse. I really hope someone gets him and helps him out.
Here's a last picture of him I took.

I know he's not my horse, but please pray for him.

Kalei, I am so Glad that you didnt get that paint. I know you feel bad for him, but there is only so much us horse lovers can do. I cannot believe that someone would try to sell you this horse, without saying anything, but unfortunately it happens all the time. I am just glad that you didnt get taken! That new mare is very nice looking, I iwsh you the best of luck!:)

agreed. that paint was very pretty, but if you had gotten him, it would have meant so much trouble.
I'm glad you found a healthier horse you liked.

I am sorry he didn't work out. But I believe what ever happens is supposed to happen, so maybe it was just ment to be. On a lighter note, this mare is just as gorgeous. She's lovely and I love her coloring. Her coat looks very shiny! :) Congratulations, on finding her!

Thanks so much guys. You make me feel better:) I am glad I switched too. And actually the owner did notice it and he looked really worried, he was even picking up its feet and starting to think that the person he got it from lied to him. And he looked at me and said "If you still want him I will sell him to you for a very cheap price." Which I'm glad he did say that, it means he is a very honest horse dealer.

Anyways I am getting more excited, I really hope that its this thursday that she can come home:D

So far I really like the name(s)

Nightwish
Lady's Nightwish

Any other names would be great! Possibly some cute names for a girl horse.

Kalei, I know how much you want your horse, but I was wondering if it was wise to purchase any horse without a vet exam first. Not saying the paint isn't navic't, but could be a bad stone bruise. I would get a vet to check out the mare you want to buy, I know vets are expensive but sometimes it's worth the extra money on the spot to be sure the horse you pick won't bring you heartbreak later on.

Very pretty. :)
Glad to hear that she seems to be a good horse for you. I know its a tough decision, but I'm happy that you're following what feels right.
Hope all goes well with this pretty girl!

I like those names. Something is popping at me when I look at her...but I can't figure out what it is, lol.

She's a cutie. I like the name Autumn, or something with "Flower" in it seems like it would suit her. Cinnamon Buns, Ginger, Amaranth (which means an imaginary, undying flower), but she's not imaginary LOL! :D

Thanks very much Alex. She will be much easier for you to ride too where she is shorter lol. I'm glad you like her.

Thanks for the name ideas too, I kind of like Autumn, I'm not sure of calling a horse autumn, but someday I can see a cat or dog being called Autumn.
