New Dogs coming in

Thought you all would like to see pictures of 3 new dogs that are coming in today. I'll be leaving in a few minutes to meet the transport.

Here is Zoey - a shepherd mix:

Here is a male lab mix - we think we are going to call him Smitty:

We are also taking in 2 pups and momma dog next week. We have approved applications for all these dogs - so it's just a matter of finding out if they are the right fit for the families.

Her first picture didn't do her justice, so I just had to post this new one. She is just so beautiful. She is only 38 pounds, and those EARS :D Plus she's got this spotted tongue. She is so good - wonderful to walk, already housebroken, doesn't bark, doesn't chew - just wants to be loved so much.

Smitty is doing wonderfully in his foster home, but we have found that he cannot go to a farm with other animals. He is wonderful with cats, but he went after some pet chickens and was not taking no for an answer.

We had to take him to the vet today - he has a slight case of kennel cough and with canine flu going around, we didn't want to take any chances. They took an x-ray and found a BB - at some point the poor boy had been shot with a BB gun. :mad: How stupid can people be.
