this is a great event where they develop these dog sculptures with certain topics.... all of the dogs are Chihuahua“s...... as my hometown name.... :D

this link was from last year dogs“s which are now being auctioned upon..... I was way way beyond procastination...... so never did posted them myself...

you can see them here......Chihuahua“s Dog Parade Sculptures (http://www.tabblo.com/studio/stories/view/101283/)

this year dogs were just "released" yesterday so I still have got to go check them out....... what I“m really sorry is that there was this actual breathing Chihuahua“s costume contest.... darn I missed it...... I“ll try find some pics as the ones on the paper were too cute....... but just 2 pics :( I wish I had went.......

you can check the digital paper here : Newspaper with pics (http://www.oem.com.mx/elheraldodechihuahua/#)

just go a lil further down on the right side click where it says : LA GALERIA(gallery), right below the ads, it“s the third down...... then just click on the lil arrow to the right with the saying "SIGUIENTE" (which is NEXT)..... so you can see a few pics

also I attached the front page of the paper so you can see the other cutie

Ai!

Perros tan guapos!

That's is cool, and in the typical Mexican way to do things, there was the "Skeleton Dog"!

Love it!

haha....... glad you enjoyed them.... I“ll try go see the new ones and snap some piccies

dontcha loved the cutie pies all dressed up.........awwwww.......
they were dressed in the traditional natives way from here called "tarahumaras"
http://www.ameritribes.org/images/tarahumara1.jpg

and also as the "menones" (mennonite, just found the translation word)which is a german population that now resides here and live....... well in their own communities as pilgrims (in what I can understand) they make their own way of living by making cheese(drools over it), milk, plastic water containers, farm machinery, etc.....

Thanks,

That is interesting to hear about the Mennonites. That must be an interesting mix!

I do remember hearing about a group of midwesterners going into the South east area of the U.S. and then moving on into Mexico.

I did know there is a strong German influence in Mexico-Whenever I hear an Oom-pah band I expect for them to break into a corrida or two! ;)

What a great idea! The town next to mine did the same thing with JRT (RCA-Nipper dog) last year. Then they auctioned off the dogs. I would have loved to have gotten one. :)
