Having trouble searching

I am having an problem searching. When i search, i get this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted at (null):0 (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/petoftheday.com/httpdocs/talk/search.php on line 979 . Can anyone help me?

Try being more specific with your search - even narrow it down to a certain timeframe if possible - that lessens the load on the server.
