Lady stole my heart the very first time you posted a picture of her, Barb. I love this one even more!! She sort of reminds me of Souraya's Roxey in a way too. I love black dogs anyway!!! :)

She stole my heart from the moment I saw her at birth!!! I knew she was going to be all mine (I think everyone in my family says that though :) )

I have so many pictures of my pets (I would calculate in excess of 800 photos). I fall under the category of "being nuts about them." I have 8 x 10's on my walls of Lady, Tobi and Buffy -- some members of my family think I go overboard with that, but I don't care. To me, they're part of my life and a huge part at that. Lady is so photogenic and i'm in total awe of her eyes, something about her expression in all the pictures I take of her. Oh well, I'm babbling...so i'll stop for now :)

Hi Barb - we're all doing really fine. Guess who I saw yesterday? My beautifuly little Tess who isn't so little anymore. She's grown to be a very large Chi. I thought of you when I saw her and wanted to let you know we were reunited for a few minutes. She didn't remember me, but she let me pet and hold her. After she left I just broke down and cried a river. Wish I could have her back, but just can't right now. But it was so good to see her.

Lady is just a gorgeous dog. You can see right into her little doggie mind through those eyes! Congratulations to you too on your photograhic skills. I had a black dog who was so hard to do justice to in a photograph. It seemed her eyes and fur always sort of blended together into a big black blob! :rolleyes:

Of all the pictures I've taken of Lady (which like I said before, it's A LOT), this is my all time favorite. We were playing and I was exhausted from running and throwing the ball. We came back in the house and I was just sitting on the floor with Lady and told her to put her "chin down." She complied and I grabbed the camera and snapped this picture. To me it's like she's asking "am I pretty enough"? I think her expression says so much. The photo just holds special memories. I know I've posted it here before, but here it is again. Hope you like this one too.

Kevin, OMG!! Now you really freaked me out. They say everyone has a twin in this world, I think you have my dog's twin!!! :eek:

You know those two pictures you labeled "Sleepy" and "Ready for Trouble" - I have pictures like those of Lady when she was younger where she looks IDENTICAL to yours, and I mean IDENTICAL! I'm not at home, but wait until I post it, you'll swear it's your dog, even the same type of red collar and the same pose (you sure it's not my Lady? :confused: lol).

Lady is a Flat-Coated Retriever and she is the best. Naughty at times (she's too smart for her own good), but always lovable and affectionate. I swear the only thing missing about this breed is the ability to talk, although she says a million things with her eyes. I'm in love with my dog's eyes, can you tell?

They do look like long lost twins.

I beginning to wonder if our dog (Lexi) is a mixed breed border collie/lab). Since she was adopted from a shelter, we really don't know exactly what she is. Based on seeing these photos, we might now know.
