I haven't posted any pictures of Buddy lately because I haven't had the time to get out the camera. We went camping for the August long weekend and took Buddy along with us. We all had a great time, but Buddy hated all of the dirt there! He was so dirty when we came home that when I bathed him, the water was like mud. He did take a plunge into the lake after my drunken DH and brother flipped their canoe lol! Buddy ate two fresh rainbow trout (live) - he loved 'em!

Buddy has really calmed down from when we first got him - he has settled in to the family nicely. Now that he knows our routine, he is alot more relaxed and confident. We haven't been keeping in touch with the old owner because last time he was here, he tried to take Buddy back. But oh well, that's his loss. He had the opportunity to visit Buddy whenever he wanted too, he blew that to pieces. But anyway, here are some pictures from our trip, hope you enjoy!

Buddy is gorgeous. It looks like he had fun. I can't believe his owner tried to steal him back. :eek: How did he do that?

Well, he came over about 2 weeks after giving Buddy to us and said that his Dad was so mad at him for giving "his" dog away. He told me that his parents will hate him if he doesn't have his dog. He also said that "if situations change, I know you will understand" - as in we would understand and give him the dog back. No way that is ever going to happen.

What a sweetie! I'm glad the owner wasn't able to get him back. Sounds like he is in a better place. He looks a lot like my Mickey. She's a Border Collie Mix. Good for you to getting this wonderful dog.
