Giselle
08-12-2007, 04:16 PM
Please please, if anybody lives in this area, please please please offer a minute or two of your time to help find her.

I was coming back from an agility class with Ivy when I discovered that Giselle was not there. Apparently, my dad left the front door open for just a second and she ran out. He never saw her leave. Nobody has seen her.

Location: Oakland, CA (PM me for the specific area)
Time she was last seen: 9:00 am. She probably ran out between 10 am - 11 am.
Colors: White and Red
ID: No ID of any kind except her racing tattoos :( (I know I know, I'm kicking myself in the arse. I know)
Contact Information: Sophie ([email protected]) PM me for my number.

Please, if you're in this area, please help.

Oh my god! I wish I was closer to Oakland, but will keep my eyes and ears "peeled" here in the south bay, so if I see or hear of anything about a dog that sounds like Giselle, I'll be sure to let you know.

I hope you find her soon!

Sophie, have you put flyers up? Maybe you could say she needs meds since she is a purebred that way nobody will try to keep her.

I agree with casey'smom on putting up signs, saying Giselle needs meds, and I would also offer a reward, but it's up to you....

Sophie, I know there is nothing I could say or do to ease your pain and heartbreak right now. The pain and heartbreak is so alive inside of me, I had to squeeze Kiara after reading your post. Especially since next month is the month Kiara took off.

Please let me know if you need any ideas - if you need help making signs in photoshop or something I am here for you. Just let me know your phone number so I can put it on there.

Giselle, please find your way home sweetheart. Your mommy is worried sick.

AHHHHH SHE'S HOME SHE'S HOME SHE'S HOME!!!!!

Thank you all so much for the words of encouragement and support!!! I posted about Giselle on Greytalk, and a member from across the Bay graciously came out here and helped me search for her. They were driving through the area while I was putting up flyers, and then I noticed a "Found Greyhound" flyer. I called the family, and, sure enough, it was Gissie.

Turns out Giselle was following a random jogger when this family found her and took her in. It was so sweet because their little son was crying when he realized that I was going to take Gis away. They don't live very far from here so I'm going to drop off a Thank You card + some treats for their two dogs.

That was the worst seven hours of my life, but I'm glad it ended quickly. I dreaded having to come home and going to sleep not knowing where Gissie was. Thank you all. PT prayers really do work ;)

Thank you all :) I'm eternally grateful that the family that found Giselle immediately put up those "found" flyers. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to find her so quickly. As one poster on the other forum said, Giselle is so lucky because she had *two* sets of flyers working for her! :p

I just ordered a breakaway collar plus a CollarTag, so they should be arriving very soon. We're off to drop off the thank you card to the family now. I'm just so so thankful to have miss Gissie back at my side =)
