Use the front door to your house?

I have been reading a book aobut Feng Shui. Anyone else follow -- or try to follow -- this ancient method of placement?

Anyway, it says that it is important to use the front door to your house to keep positive energy flowing. And it points out that many homes now have side doors next to the garage or driveway which get the most use.

So I started thinking about that. My house, we seldom use the front door. Same thing growing up in my dad's house.

never, my front door doesant even open lol. even when it did open, it was rarly used. its not safe, I have 7 dogs and live on an EXTREMLY busey street well known for outright speeding(police with radar guns dont even bother to hide) to use my front door, is to wish my dogs dead or injured.

The storm door in front blows open, so we keep it locked from the outside, but at least once a day somebody goes out that door and then is able to come back in.

We always use our front door, as the way our house sits, you would have to walk down a steep hill to use any of the others. :D

I always use the front door. I live in an apt/townhouse.... and the back door is a silding glass door that I keep locked. Plus I have a bar that goes across, sort of like a deadbolt I guess. :rolleyes: :eek:

Sooooo, if I want in, I HAVE to use the front door! :D

We use the front door to our house all the time. Going to and from the house. We do have a back door that we use when we go out to our carport and hang out.

It is used for 2 things, the pizza delivery person and to water the hanging basket I have on the front step.

(laughing as I type) My brother and sister-in-law's kitchen door is THE door at their house. The front door only gets used once or twice a year. One spring my sister-in-law placed a wreath on the porch, alongside the door - and a mother robin chose it for a nest, so the front door was opened even LESS! We figured she was smart to make a nest there because it was part way out of the wind and warm from the porch light.

Yep, I use the front door. We can't open the garden gate, which leads to the back door, from the front unless either my brother or I climb over the fence and unlock the padlock to let others in. So it's just simpler to use the front!

Almost never. Since our front yard isn't fenced, no way I want the dogs slipping out the door. We don't let them out the front door and seldom go out it, hoping they won't realize it goes anywhere. ;)

At my parents' and my P-I-L's houses I use the front door 9/10 times. And at my apartment, I use it 10/10 times because its the only door we have :D

Always use the front door..once in a while I will use the car port door.

Never. The front door leads into the living room which nobody goes into, unless we are having a party. We always go through the garage door.

I chose 'regularly'. We use it alot, everyday almost, along with my Garage door.

All the time! With five people living in the house and everyone coming and going at different times our house's positive energy must be like an overflowing river. :D Not to mention it's left open rather often with just the screen closed.

We always go in and out through the side door - out to the garage. The front door gets used mostly to let the cats in and out.

We have a front door and a back door only, no side door. We always use the front door coming and going from the house. The only time the back door is used is when we let the dogs outside or want to get in the backyard.

I use the front door, we have one back door and its not go out able because of a screen.

At my parents', we enter/leave the house through the garage 95% of the time. Rarely does the front door open. Actually, I think we only open the front door when welcoming guests. :D

At my apartment, we use the front door, because the other two doors open into the balcony...so there isn't really much of a choice. :p

We have three doors to exit our house, one takes you to the front porch, another to the garage, and the other to the back yard. All three are used regularly. It just seems to depend on where we are in the house and where we are going outside as to which door we use.

We use our front door more now than we used to. I have a lot of container plants right outside the front door that need watering so I go that way, these days, to water them. Also, with the addition of Ben (golden retriever), we take him out the front door to play ball lots of times now. He is trusted off leash. The other two aren't! :(
