Hello Pet Talkers, I just wanted to tell you about the bestest cat toy Momcat has ever bought us! :D It’s called the Dirt Dawg.

Now cats, I know what you’re thinking…. But this Dawg is fun!

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/kuhio98/Dirt%20Dawg/e833a60f.jpg

It runs around the house and bounces off the walls. It is fun to chase. Sometimes it even chases me! It will run for hours and when it gets tired, Momcat plugs it in to the wall and recharges it.

It has this little broom thingy that I love to watch. I try to catch it, but it is too fast for me. The little broom sweeps under the heat registers. Once it even found a dried up ‘ole mousey that I had misplaced!

Sometimes it tries to go down the stairs, but it always stops by itself and makes a sad little sound until Momcat rescues it.

And when we’re all done playing, Momcat presses the dawgie paw print and a drawer opens up with lots of interesting stuff.

The only annoying thing about it is that it sucks up my kitty crunchies I scatter around! Momcat says that’s the whole point….

But don’t let her fool you – I am quite convinced that it was designed to be the best cat toy ever! I never imagined that I could love a Dawg so much!

So tell all your Momcats and Dadcats to go to http://www.irobot.com/sp.cfm?pageid=272
You can watch some movies of it in action. (None of them starring me, unfortunately). :p

Sincerely,
Willy Wussy Boy

Guys ~ All the kitties love the Dirt Dawg – especially Willy. They aren’t scared of it like the regular vacuum cleaner. I bought the Dirt Dawg to clean the garage and Bobcat’s workshop. He’s always dropping nuts and bolts and nails, etc. But, it works well on carpet also. It isn’t recommended for little area rugs (it tries to suck them up), but it picks up crunchies and litter and tons of cat hair! Well worth the price, if you ask me. Defiinitely the best cat toy we’ve ever bought!

A vacuum cleaner and a mobile Cat Toy all in one. Are they expensive as I need a new floor vacuum to pick up after the Found Cats and maybe keep them in line at the same time.

Mitzi can beat that! I vacuumed last night and had to pick up all her toys and put them away in the toy basket so I could vacuum properly. Afterwards I selected a few to scatter around (I try to rotate her toys so she doesn't get bored) and after she came out of hiding, she played with her very favorite toy - HER TAIL! It was hilarious! She was spinning all over the living room and then somehow spun up onto the couch and continued spinning, trying to catch it. I was laughing SO HARD. She chases her tail at least once a day. :D

Willy, that looks like a lot of fun! How sweet that your Mom bought that for you to play with... Hummmmmm... I can see the benifits to having one. Thanks for showing it to us and telling us how it works.

Y'know, when I had my house cleaning business, my son wanted to buy me one of those but it was called a Roomba. I didn't think it was fair to my clients. (They like to see ya sweat. :p ) Also, I didn't think it would be good for pet hair but now that I see how well yours did, I may have to reconsider. Oh, btw, your Willy looks just like my Coco Puff. (See below) I know he wouldn't be afraid of it either. He'd probably want to ride it.

I've always wanted one of these but never sure if they would really work. Now you've convinced me to get one! :D

Hmmmm.... I won't buy an expensive vacuum for myself, but perhaps since its now dubbed as a cat toy I might be more tempted to get one! :D

Thank you for the commentary Willy. It seems you have a mighty interesting toy there. I wonder how long before it starts to share its secrets with you?

That looks efficient - and fun too! :D I should get one of those, but unless it's very silent, I think Fister would be scared of it.

I'm amazed by how well that seems to work. I didn't think it would be any use for cat hair, but it looks as though it has pretty good suction.

I am sure that my cats would have a collective heart attack if they met it though.

But, Willy, is it very noisy? I don't like the big blue thing because it is soooo noisy and because meowmy pushes it toward me, then pulls it away over and over. I have to run and hide under the bed when she gets it out because I don't like to see it coming at me. When she puts it away she says "Bye bye, vacuum!" and I know to come out. Plus, after the big blue thing, the carpet doesn't smell right anymore so I have a lot of work to get it back to smelling like my house again. If it is less noisy than the big blue thing, I will send meowmy out to get me one!

Purrs of thanks,
Cassie

Willy, does it mke much noise and is it expensive, because i don't like noisy things and i dont want to cut my cat food budget as i love felix cat food, not supermarket brand.

Wow! I'm impressed! I didn't think these things would pick up all that much as I presumed there really wasn't any suction, just the little sweepy brushes. Also I'm not that fond of things that have to be recharged, but when I see what yours accomplished, I'm tempted to try one.

Willy Wussy Boy, you are a stitch, and a gorgeous one at that.

Welllllllllll, it's not exactly whisper quiet. But, it sure isn't as noisy as the big, clunky, sucky thing that Momcat usually uses. We all hate that thing and run and hide when we see it. But, with R2D2 (for some reason my Momcat calls it that), we all come running to it when she turns it on.

If I've done this right (I don't think I've ever posted a video before), you will see a little movie Momcat took. Judge for yourself how noisy it is. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/kuhio98/th_DD029.jpg (http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/kuhio98/?action=view&current=DD029.flv) You can also watch movies here: http://www.irobot.com/sp.cfm?pageid=124

Momcat bought it at www.irobot.com for $129.99 (U.S.) plus shipping. She didn't buy all the gizmo's (virtual walls, remote control, etc.) Irobot sells Roomba too at the same website. They even have one especially for cleaning up after pets. But, they cost too much and we're happy with our new toy just the way it is!

I'm not sure I am brave enough to ride around on it, buy my sister Pepper is thinking about it. She sits on it when it is still, so it probably won't be long until she rides it. :D

Wow, that's a great toy you have there, Willy! It plays with you while it cleans up your house at the same time, how neat is that? Your story about your new toy was super! I'm sure the company that makes it would hire you as their spokeskitty in a heartbeat.

Yes, Willy and Coco Puff do look alike. If I could take a decent pic w/out redeye, you'd really be able to see the similarity.
