One thing you can say about Rod Stewart when he was young, he always had the best musicians, no computers behind him, just raw talent.

IMO, Rod was, and still is, a great live performer. :D As for computer backing, was it around in those days? Don't think so, if it was it would have been very basic.

No, I don't think computer technology was around then.
Most of those guys just had a lot of raw talent.
