We got Lucy at 4 months old. She was the warmest and affectionate kitten ever. Since my husband and i both work, we were told that a second kitten would be nice for lucy. We got Oni one week later, she's three months. Well Lucy is completely obsessed with Oni, she suckles at her whenever given the chance, and the two of them could care less about my husband and i, although they do enjoy playing with us a bit. I suppose its great that they get along so well, but....well will they grow out of this ever?

Oh, yeah. They will change behavior so many times while they grow! Try playing with each of them individually every day, so they know that humans can be fun, too!

Yes I've heard that this sometimes happens. It never happened with my cats though. They have always needed their mommy. :)

Because of my work schedule, I followed friend's advice and got two littermate kittens. I remember feeling 'left out' when they were very young, but a more savvy friend asked me to check where they were playing. Although the kittens seemed to be ignoring me, they would follow me from room-to-room interacting with each other, but not letting me out of their sight although they seemed indifferent. As they grew older/ more social they interact with me much more.

Don't worry, your kittens are going through a normal phase for cats... :)

:) Thanks for the replies. Lucy and Oni are the first kittens ive ever had, andI'm beginning to feel much better about my "mothering" skills.
