Dasher has had very bad diarrhea since I woke up yesterday at three. Poor guy even messed in the house while I was gone last night. He never does that. I went back out and got some stuff for that and gave nim a kid's dose. He's had one other dose and it doesn't seem to be helping. We've both been up all night. I'm exhausted as I was already way behind on my sleep. Vet didn't have opening until 5 today but I told them I'd rather come in and have them fit us in sometime. I don't mind waiting. Don't want him to get worse. I hope it's not serious.

Get well soon, Dasher!
I hope nothing is serious. Going to the vet was a smart idea. Keep us updated on after you get back from the vet. Lots of prayers for Dasher!

Thanks guys. I'm glad I decided to take him. He threw up right before we left for the vet. I hadn't fed him anything today. Does your dog do this? At home, he was moping and sleeping. Naturally, since he wasn't feeling well. He gets to the vet and has fun socializing with some little dogs in the waiting room. By the time the vet sees him, he's jumping around like he's not even sick. Silly boy. Vet gave him some paste for the diarrhea and some antibiotics. He just ran off again but it's tapered off, some. He's not going a frequently. Vet thinks he'll be better by tomorrow. He can drink all he wants but no food until his stool isn't runny. Right now, he's snoring next to me on the bed.

Val, just an FYI about that paste.
Buddy was taking that last summer after getting worms and it hardened his poo so much that it must have hurt him to hold it and he pooped in the house. When I picked it up it was hard as a rock!!!
I felt so bad for him, so I lightened up on the paste and he was much better.

I can't remember for the life of me what the name of it is, but mine was in a big white syringe looking thing that you spin the end on it to what ever measurement you need to give.

Hugs to Dasher!!

Thanks, Angie. I had to give him the whole tube of that. He was still runny this morning. Though it wasn't as runny, which is good. He still hasn't wanted to eat but he did want to play fetch before I left for work. So, he should be fine, thank goodness.
