Oreo has an infection - photo included (yuck)

I brushed Oreo on Saturday, and noticed some discharge from his left eye. It wasn't a LOT, but decided to put him back on the benadryl for his allergies. (It's a dosage recommended by the vet.) I started that again, but I guess it was too late, because this is what we were greeted with this morning:

We took him in to the vet. He got an ointment for his face... and he's been chewing his armpit areas and his butt area a lot too, they're very red, so he got a topical spray for that too.

Please say a prayer for the little guy. He is the most lovable little dog, considering his background.

Thanks Maggie! He is curled up behind hubby's chair now, sleeping away.

Hopefully these medications will do the trick.

OMG. That's nasty. I hope the medicine helps. Poor Oreo. I'm sending Oreo a hug right now.

Oreo slept pretty good last night and diddn't chew and scratch all that much. Thanks for the happy thoughts!
