Angel arrived from Maryland save and sound yesterday. Not only that - she brought a friend, Ashton. Ashton was supposed to go into a Search and Rescue program, but it fell through at the last minute, so he was scheduled to be put down, so of course Ginny took him also. He's a black lab mix about 40 pounds and very well trained for a shelter dog. He does really well in his crate, retrieves and returns a ball, and already know sit. Such a sweetheart - I can't figure out why such great dogs are seen as throw-aways.

This is the only picture I have of him, but I'm sure that will change as soon as he gets settled in his foster home. :) I'll try to post more when we have some good ones. The good news is it looks like Angel already has a home. She is in a foster to adopt situation until we can get her in to be spayed. The family who is currently fostering her live in the country and already have 3 dogs, so they want to make sure that they all get along.

Thank you for the update, I really was thinking about her this weekend. I am glad that Angel has already found a home (fingers crossed that they all get along). How nice of you all to take in Ashton too. I hope he, too, finds a home fairly quickly.

Hi all,

Thought I would post some pictures of Jasper in his foster home. He's just adorable, and sweet as can be.

Jasper sure looks happy! I'm not familiar with Angel. Can't wait to see more of Ashton. I, too, don't understand their logic on these dogs. He sounds like a great one to me.

We renamed him once we got to know him a little better. His foster mom says he is doing just great. Good in his crate, easy to walk, loves to play fetch, but very mellow in the house. He's going in for his neuter surgery on the 21st, and I'm sure he'll be snapped up after that.
