Yesterday, I gave Snow a bath because she got all dirty because my sister dumped dirt from the plants onto the cat. When I was getting all the soap off of her, I found a large loss of hair on her leg. The area looked red like it was bleeding. There was also a little loss of hair on her face, but that area looks black. Snow stopped eating all of a sudden. She won't eat any of her food. She wants to (she meows at her food bowl) but she won't eat. I show her the food and Snow will look at it and walk away.
Other then that Snow is acting fine. Is there sonmething wrong with Snow? What should I do??

Oh poor Snow, she doesn't appear to be feeling too well. :( I think you should keep an eye on her, and if she still doesn't eat tomorrow, take her to the vet and get her checked.
I hope she will be better soon!

My mom said that we are going to keep an eye on Snow. If she doesn't eat soon or if she looses more hair, than we are going to take her to the vet.

Take Snow to the vet, the sooner the better. Why would she lose hair all of a sudden?

I'm so sorry to hear this.:) I would also take her to the vet asap. Did you notice any black specs on her? If so she may have fleas and this may be the reason she's loosing her fur or it could be a hot spot caused by stress or food allergies. Hopefully it isn't ringworm. The black area on her face could be feline acne if it's on her chin. I'd definitely have a vet check this out. I sure hope it's nothing serious. I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

There were black specs on her, but I put some flea meds on her. Before that I washed her down with flea shampoo. That's when I noticed the loss of hair. The black area is by her whiskers.
Yesterday, my mom went to the pet store and got her new food. Snow has been eating the same food for f4 years so my mom thought she was tired of eating the same thing. Well, we dumped out the old food and put some new food in. Snow ate a couple pieces but that was it. At least she's improving!:)

The last thing you or Snow needs is an infected abcess. That's what'll happen if you don't treat it.

PLEASE tell your mom to make an appointment for the vet to see Snow as soon as possible. This could be something really serious.

What flea meds did you use? If you used Frontline Plus you're not supposed to bathe them for 2 days after applying or else it doesn't work very well. If you used an OTC flea med plus a flea bath she may have gotten an overdose of Pyretherins. It's also possible if she has a desire to eat but won't, that her teeth/mouth are painful to her and she is incapable of eating.
Either way a cat not eating is serious. Cats can only go a few days without eating before it starts causing some damage to the organs.
Regardless of the reason I would get the cat to the vet today or tomorrow at the absolute latest. Keep us posted on Snow!

The vet gave me some Advantage to put on her. I only give Snnow a bath the day before I put on the new dosage of flea med.
Snow is getting a little better. She ate last night probably because I put some wet food in her bowl not the dry food. I told my mom she might have ringworm so today she is suppose to call the vet and get an appointment. If not I'll porbably ask my grandma to take me. Snow actually might have ringworm because my little sister got it a couple days ago and she stills haves it.

I also use advantage on my cats and one time I had to bathe them because Starr had ringworm. I put advantage on them the next day and both Storm and Sunny had bad reactions. They lost some fur and it looked like they had hot spots on them. I had to use some antibiotic ointment on them for a while until things began to clear up again. I guess the bathing and advantage was too much for their delicate skin to handle.
I sure hope that Snow doesn't have ringworm.:( If your sister has it though then Snow may have given it to your sister. Please let keep us updated and I hope that things go well at the vets.
