two cats keep fighting! HELP!

Well, Snow got some fleas again so we got the house sprayed. I brought my frogs and Snow down to my grandma's house (Angel and Duke stayed at my dad's.)

Anyway, my grandmom has a cat named Mickey. He is about two years old and is a Maine Coon. He never was around anyother cats. When we brought Snow down there, Snow ran under the couch because she got scared. Mickey came downstairs and staring meowing and growling once she saw Snow. Snow came out from under the couch because she loves other cats. Once she got near Mickey, he attack her. He scratched her a little bit and bite her.

After that, we kept Mickey down in the basement and closed the door while Snow staywed under the couch the whole five hours. We switch them up every hour, just in case snow had to use the litterbox (which was down the basement.) I got Snow out of the couch and my mom took Mickey. When I walked passed my mom and Mickey with Snow, Mickey swipped Snow in the face.

What I'm really worried about is Snow got fleas again. ***Sigh*** So I have to take Snow down my grandmom house again. How could I introduce the two cats together without Mickey scratching Snow? Should I keep them seperated? HELP!!!!!!!!!!

This is a temporary thing - about 5 hours - I would not even try to get them together. It takes me anywhere from 5 days to 6 weeks to introduce a newbie into my home; and my cats are used to comings and goings! Since grandma's cat is used to being the solo princessa, why bother her?

Keep them separate and set up a second litter box for the time you are there. I mean, you can use a cheap set up. An aluminum pan from a store bought pie with some litter in it works fine! And a water bowl, and you are set. I wouldn't keep juggling them here and there. Keep the Princessa where her box is, don't expect HER to be using the temp one. Disrupt her a little as possible. And don't give your kitty run of the house either; lose her in a bedroom or, if there are 2 bathrooms close her in one.

You have enough work bombing your house; no sense in getting involved with hand grenades with claws on them! :D

Are you using a topical once a month flea product (ie; Frontline Plus, Advantage) on Snow and your other pets?

If all you are doing is having the house sprayed then any one of the animals, or even humans, can bring in new fleas. A single female flea can lay 2,000 eggs in her short lifetime, that adds up to a big flea problem in a hurry. Prevention is always the cheapest/easiest solution.

Sorry to hear about all the havoc with having the cats fighting. Since it's a temporary situation, I'd just get a cheap extra sandbox and keep the cats separated until you are back home again.

Well, yesterday, I put some Advantage on her. She keeps getting fleas from being outside. About everyday, I will put her out in the front yard. Once she started getting fleas, I wouldn't let her back out.

Now, I have been thinking she is getting fleas from the basement. She usually spends the whole day down there and comes up with more and more flea eggs on her. She hasn't been getting them ever since ther vet gave me and my mom the medicine.
