My dog hurts my cat

My dog is so mean to my cat! My cat ignores her but sometime she wants me or my twin and gets in the way of my dog! I love my dog and my cat but i want to love them the but when my cat wants me i have to lock her in a room and bring my cat in but my dog gets upset! :( What do i do:confused: :confused: :confused: :( :( :(

Well my cat was a stray and my dog never showed and type of anger at my cat until i let her in. My dog is 6 (human yrs.) and i dont know how old my cat is. My dog was rescued off the street :(

well if u want your dog to get along with your cat then u put your dog on a leash and you enterdose your dog to the cat.Most likley the cat will run away so then the dog will probly try to run after it.So u wnat to say no bad boy or girl.U should probly do this for several weeks untill u know that your dog and cat trust each other.

It was strange! She suddenly got used to her! I have had her since july last year! And she just snapped!

I think you should try to 're-introduce' them. Get a someone to hold your dog either on a lead, his collar or just firmly holding him and you can hold your cat. Let them check eachother out but don't force them together and don't hold them too close to eachother. Give them a few minutes to sniff eachother and give them each a treat while they are there that way they will asociate eachother with a treat so it will be a nice experiance for them to be together. Do this a few times a day and see if it helps but don't hold them together for too long or they might get aggravated. Hope I can help! :p :p :rolleyes:
