Where ever does the time go? It was 5 months ago tomorrow, July 21st, that we went into the hospital before the sun came up to give birth to my little girl, my little angel, my little friend. I can hardly believe it's been 5 months already. I've had a good life up until my baby girl entered the scene, but I just can't imagine how I ever survived without her now that she's here. She is truly the best thing to ever happen to Ricky and I and we are just so lucky that she's so perfect. We have fun, Quinn and I. I think she loves me just as much as I love her.
Yesterday we had to take her in for her dreaded vaccinations and to get weighed and measured. I cried, again, when my little girl was being stuck with the needles, but it was not quite as hard as it was the first time I took her. The vaccs didn't make her feel bad afterwards like they did the first time, so that was a bonus, too. OK, are you ready to hear how big Quinn has gotten??? OK remember she was 6 pounds 4 ounces and 19 1/4 inches when she first entered the world. She is now 15 pounds 12 ounces and 26 inches long! She's in the 75th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for length. My little girl is getting so big, I don't know whether to jump for joy or cry because she changes so fast.
Quinn has yet to pop her first teeth, we're thinking that sometime this month she'll cut her first teeth, but only time will tell how long it'll take. She is still a breast fed girl and has yet to try any solids. I'm in no hurry to start her on solids, but I'll be sure and take pictures when we do introduce them. Quinn was born with the darkest head full of hair, and it's slowly falling out and getting an incredible amount lighter. She has a lot of blonde with reddish/auburn highlights coming threw now.
Happy 5 months of life, my little Peanut! We are so glad to have you. We couldn't ask for a better, happier, more beautiful child to spend the rest of our lives with.
I hope you all enjoy the pictures and enjoy seeing her grow.
Taken after her shots yesterday. She didn't get any side effects this time. She cried like heck when they stuck her, but she recovered quickly while I cradled and sang to her.

Anna (Cookiebaker) got her this neat toy. She loves it, and finds it extremely delicious, as she does everything!
