Rottweilers are a very intelligent and noble breed. If raised in the wrong hands though, they can be your worst nightmare! Like all dogs, Rottweilers need a leader in their life. If you do not assume that position, they will take it on themselves. And Rottweilers are one of the worst *leaders* of the whole canine species. :) But, for those people that love their Rotts, care for them properly, and most of all, train them, they are one of the most intelligent, and enthusiastic workers and companions you will ever have.

Rottweilers are my favorite breed!!! I have a male Rott named Carl. Go to one of my websites to learn more about Rottweilers :D

I know a little bit obout Rotties!! I LOVE Rotties!!

Powerful in body and jaws, the Rottweiler can offer formidable protection. Today, this impressively handsome dog, the descendant of ancient boar hunters, is popular throughout the world as both a family dog, and a guard dog. Easy to obedience train, it can show off it's temper; breeders, notably in Scandinavia, have reduced this trait.

Breed History:
The Rottweiler was bred in Rottweil, southern Germany, in the 1800's, as a distinct cattle and guard dog.

Key Facts:
Country of Orgin: Germany
Date of Origin: 1820's
First Use: Cattle/ Guard Dog
Use Today: Companion, Police Dog, Guarding
Life Expectancy: 11-12 years
Weight Range: 90-110 lbs (41-50 kg)
Height Range: 23-27 in (58-69 cm)

Hope this helps!!!! :D
