My neighbour Trevor had a beautiful black and white fluffy boy he simply named "Cat". Cat's parents were 'alley cats' who literally shoved their kitten onto a porch, under Trevor's canoe.

Trev thought he would have Cat for 20 years. Sadly, he started losing weight and appetite in the last month - the vet thought he had colitis.

Treatments didn't do much - and one morning, Cat threw up - and Trev was there in time with a zip-loc bag to catch it. He took it to the vet - the vet said "bring him in".

They were going to run fluids - without daddy Trevor there, Cat fought the needle. They mildly sedated him, and the vet gave the abdomen a good palpation. He called Trev. "I want to open him up and have a look." Trev said ok.

Pancreatic cancer...cancer everywhere, actually. The vet called Trev, and he went down...Cat was out of it, but his eyes were open, and his pupils dilated when he heard Trevor.

The vet gave them a couple of minutes alone, and then Cat went to the Bridge.

He was 12 years old.

Prayers for Cat and Trevor. Trevor is kind of in shock, and we know what that is like.

SO sorry for Trevor and Cat; cats are so good at hiding illness.

Be happy at the Bridge, Cat.

Oh, I'm so sorry. It's difficult enough but when it's unexpected, it's especially painful. Prayers going out to Trevor and Cat is now at peace at the bridge. He knows he was loved.

I hope that Trevor does not blame himself. Pouncer Almond Roca had cancer and I never suspected until it was too late.
Cats now in Paris where a dinner is being held in his honor at a fancy bistro and then an All Night Party at a Five Star Hotel Garden Park.
Cats sad in a way as he misses Trevor and family but knows that they will meet again.
One Fine Day.

Cat is now playing painlessly at Rainbow Bridge. R.I.P. Cat.

Poor Cat... at least he had Trevor to look out for him and take him to the vet and release him from his pain.

Pancreatic cancer seems to spread fast and no matter what you do the treatments just don't do anything... human or animal (my aunt just died of this on the 12th and was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago).

Play hard at the Bridge, Cat, and watch over Trevor as he misses you.
