Biddy. He had his recheck/urinalysis today and actually I don't have a report on the results yet (LOL, I guess I should have waited to report)

Sterling. I asked to put him on Baytril as the Clavamox doesn't seem to be working as well. He is still licking and licking.

Bonnie. As I suspected (and feared) she has a very sore mouth. :( Another stomatitis cat (#3). And even I can't pill her! so she got a steroid shot and will get antibiotic shots (vs. the oral equivilents). She will need a drastic dental..and SOON!!

Shilo. One of my other stomatitis cats. He had half of his mouth done about 6 months ago. At the time the vet felt no more teeth could be pulled safely (without the possibility of breaking the jaw bone). But his pain and imflamation is returning and he will need the rest of the mouth done, again, ASAP.

Bonnie and Shilo will get the antibiotics for the next few days and the dental probably within 2 weeks.

ah, the joy of multiple pets. :p

OMG... Poor kitties!!! I didn't realize Shilo and Bonnie were both having the mouth problems. So, will Shilo have any teeth left?! What is the prognosis for a cat with Stomatitis? I'm so not familiar with this. I wonder if this is what Honey had?? Or if he still has something since he has really bad breath and drools... ugh. I really really need to get him to the vet, but everytime there is an appt. he disappears on me for about 2 days. I swear he's psychic!

I sure hope that Biddy's test results come back good.:) Storm has also been on Baytril in the past and it's worked for him. I hope that it'll also work for Sterling.:) Clavamox has made Storm sick in the past so I also try to use another type of antibiotic for him.

I'm so sorry to hear that both Bonnie and Shilo have stomatitus.:( I hope that both of their teeth cleanings/teeth extractions go well. I'm not familiar with this either. Prayers and positive thoughts are on the way for all of your cats. May they all be happy and healthy very soon. I know how it is having one health problem after the other. I'm still waiting for things to calm down with my cats here too.

Oh gosh Jen, you've really got a lot of sick kitties right now. To think I've been fretting over a few weepy eyes.

Prayers and positive thoughts on the way.

Boy oh boy, when it rains, it pours. Sure hope everything turns around for all your furkids soon, Jen. Lots of prayers and good energy being sent your way. Give them all belly rubs for me.

My rescue group had a cat with stomatitis who had every tooth in his mouth taken out. He's doing fine! He can even eat kibble (he kind of gums it to death.) I had a scare with Smokey the Younger but she just had a gum infection and some clindamycin cleared it up. Good luck with your babies!

Hang in there, Jen! I was in a similar situation last month, 4 of the 10 pets were getting pills and gels and ointments. I was overwhelmed! The good news is, much of it doesn't last.

Sorry to hear that two need dental work. Poor kitties, but they have a kind and caring mom and that makes all the difference!

I know, Amber has already gone through it. She didn't improve immediately but after she did all has been going well.

And It All Seems That A Whole Group Of Cats Is Ill At The Same Time As Misery Must Love Company.
Its A Shame That Our Cats Cant Take Turns So The Vet Bills Are Staggered.
We Are Sending Prayers To You Jen That Your Cats Are All Well Soon.

He still has some of the triple phosphate crystals. His ph was good, so we can't lower it further. He may just need a weekly fluid treatment to keep him flushed.

Jen, I'm sorry to hear that Biddy still has some crystals.:( I hope that by giving him a weekly fluid treatment that this will help flush them out. I'll continue to keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
