AND HES GOT A MILD CARDIO MYTHROPHY. MY VET NOTICED THAT WHEN MICHAEL RAN HE WAS PUFFING A BIT AND HAD TROUBLE JUMPING.
MICHAEL HAS TWO MEDS TO TAKE TO HELP HIM OUT, NEITHER OF WHICH HE LIKES. THE VETS GOING TO TRY ANOTHER TASTIER ONE.
MICHAEL AND THE OTHER CATS ARE SLOWLY GOIG TO A LEAN MEAT/VEGEATABLE HOME COOKED MEAL PLAN WITH NO COMMERCIAL CANNED AND A SMALLER PERCETAGE OF COMMERCIAL DRY.
THIS WILL BE HARD TO CHANGE A SENIOR CATS DIET.
BUT IT WILL BE A CHALLANGE FOR MY DEAR ORANGE FRIEND AND I.

Gary, good for you! After a year of health troubles with her cat, my mom's hairdresser suggested a lot of cats have an allergy to corn and cornstarch.

I am going with my mom tomorrow to a store I have visited, where I got my cats their bag of raw kibble. She is looking at changing the food he cats get, thank goodness!

So - are you now the chief Cook and bowl-washer? :)

The new food and a good med should allow Michael to spend more happy years at the Hotel.

Oh dearest Michael, you have to learn to love those meds. They are given out of love and affection. and will make you fell so much better.

Gary, this lean meat /veggie diet sounds like one I should be on...I've been packing on a few pounds over the years. :D :D
Tell Michael if he sticks to it....I will too. We will be diet buddies. Tell him he can call or email whenever he feels like falling off the wagon. :)

THE GOOD THING IS THAT I GOT MICHAEL IN BEFORE IT GOT TO A DANGER LEVEL. MICHAELS PAWS ARE WARM, HIS GUMS ARE PINK AND OTHER THAN BEING A LITTLE SHORT OF BREATH HES A VERY HEALTHY CAT WITH VERY GOOD GENES FROM BEING A BARN CAT.
HES 15.5 SO HES IN THE HOME STRETCH BUT I AM HOPING AND PRAYING THAT HE WILL CELEBRATE HIS 20 THE PURRRTHDAY WITH US.
AT LEAST.

Michael, Cassie here. My Meowmom is a nurse and she said to tell you to do your best to take your medicine and eat the new diet your Dad prepares for you. She said she is glad you saw the doctor when you did. She was looking at your pictures and doing the leaky eye thing. I meowed to her not to worry because you are in your Dad's very capable care.
