Uh OH! Problems on the home front! Nikki has developed a rash on her neck. It is red beneath her white fur, and she has blemishes like acne. It is about as big as the palm of my hand. I'm not sure if it itches or hurts her, but I feel so bad for her! She is so broken out! If any of you can help me, please! I can take her to a vet, but as a last resort. We are kind of short on cash. Does any one know of a home remedy, or a medication I can buy over the counter? Or do any of you have an idea as to how it started? Maybe I can prevent it from happening again. If you have any suggestions, please post!

This type of rash was talked about b/4 - not sure what was all said but I think it started out with cat acne. Maybe someone will remember of course unless I read about it at Jackies site!

| am sorry to hear about, Nikki! thats so unfortunate!I dont really have any ideas on what could stop out. I wopuld suggest rubbing alcohual, but that may be stingy to Nikki. I thikn u wouldhave better luck if u copyed and pasted this into the health one, becuase there, where ur other post is i was the first on to look at it.and i only looked because i was bored. people think u are saying that u put something else that wasnt supposed to be the dog health area so no one is looking at it.Just a suggestion. Consult you vet about rubbing alcohaul over the phone, becuase i may be dead wrong. but that is what alot of humans do to there skin when they break out.
p.s. if u would like to see my bella look at the attachment below.

When Tango gets rashes, I use Aveeno. It works wonders. You can buy it at any store like Walmart or K-mart. You soak them in a bath up to their bellies for 30-40 minutes. They feel so much better, no itching and their coat feels so soft. Aveeno is a human product for eczema, posion ivy, sunburn and other rashes or bug bites. You should give it a try.
