One of the things I frequently do on the net is visit horse breeders websites and literally drool at all the beautiful horses for sale. I found my dream horse (in looks atleast) a while back at one of those sites, and the website I'm posting about right now has the most stunning Andalusians!

Here are some pictures of the horses they have there *hopes they allow off-site linking*

You can see more photos of the horses at their website http://www.miravalandalusians.com. Sorry for "advertising", but I really had to share these stunning horses with you guys, and it's not as if I get payed for going around telling people to visit their site or anything so I hope it's not a big deal!

Great pics! I'm partial to the 3rd guy there! Andalusians are beautiful horses.

How about Friesians, Ann? Are you fan of them?

Have you checked out Robert Vavra's pictures?! Gotta luv those!

I went out and took pics of my friend's new Arab. Will try and get them posted asap.

Ann ! They look like beautiful horses. I would love to be able to ride a horse. I did try a couple of times though, but the first time, I slowly slid off, and the second time I was thrown off, not very gracefully), I couldn't get the horse to stop!! Luckily it was in woods and I didn't really hurt myself. However, I have been on a horse since, a girlfriend and I was allowed to ride (transport)horses from the school to the countryside (a one hour trip) - along a busy road, but for free! One time in the staples, a horse stepped on my foot, luckily nothing got broken, but I'll never forget that!

Absolutely stunning. If you like the andalusians you may really love the gypsy vanner horse, which is my all time favorite breed. My friend was lucky enough to meet one face to face and it was the friendliest, sweetest, most gentle horse she had been around in a long time. She didn't ride it but she watched it being ridden and it was the most stunning site she had ever seen! I would love one some day, but they are REALLY expensive to buy, as well as feed since they are so HUGE :)

Ann, all of the horses look lovely don't they. I like to look at them but I am bit scared of horses, as they are so powerful and dangerous in so many ways.

Oh yes zippy-kat, I love Friesians!! :) Here is one of my favorite photos of a Friesian, scanned from a book of mine:

And I also like Robert Vavra's horse photos!!! I own two of his books, Equus and Unicorns I Have Known.

LOL Randi, that was a funny story! Another good thing with being in the woods when that happened, is that no one saw you ;)

AdoreMyDogs, that is a stunning breed! I think I have heard about them before actually. I love horses with that hair around their hooves... what's it called in English; feathers?

Here is another worthy link to all of you who like Andalusian horses - they're very popular here because of their elegance and strength.

This is the web site of one of the most famous breeders and equestrian schools in Spain. Look out for Jerez (the town where it stands) and then go to the "Show" link. I hope you like it!

And this is a typical indeed "estampa"!

Boy, you girls are after my own heart! Friesians are my very favorite horse.....I would love to own one someday....they are very rare and expensive however so we'll see...
I also love American Saddlebreds and Morgans. I rode saddleseat for years and these 2 types of horses are the most prevalent in that field so I've always been around them. I'm fairly tall so the Morgans are a little small for me but I love their spunk and attitude! :D They are like little dynamos!

I will have to scan some pictures of the "horses I used to know" in soon....
I love to talk about horses and I never get the opportunity...The pictures and the website links are great! Share them all guys when you find them!

Andalusian horses are SO beautiful, but I love American Quarter Horses the best. Atleast 3 times a week I ride a beautiful dun QH gelding named Dunny. He rides great and Quarter Horses are the best to me!
