I posted a couple weeks ago wanting some information on a Siamese. I've had one before, and I just adore them. My dad came in the house tonight and said, "I saw Connies cat in the shed." I was very confused as to why my great aunts cat would be on our farm as she lives 20 miles away. My dad explained that while I was in Arizona these past two weeks, he had to take her cat away from her so she would hopefully go to a nursing home. I'm pretty sure she received the cat from the nursing home she was previously at.

Anyways, I went out to the shed and got him/her. I'm gonna say she for now, but I haven't checked yet... She is very very friendly, but isn't crazy about being held, which is ok, because she is pretty over weight. She is declawed in the front. She is very afraid of the dogs, but shows interest in them when she knows she can get away. (I have her in the porch and she would stand on the door and look through the window at the dogs looking back on the other side). CP, our cat who resides here, is not that friendly toward other cats, even though we have another cat too. I put this girl in a kennel and let CP see her, and she growled for a while but then just walked away. I'm hopeing she can learn to get along with this possible new addition.

For now the cat is in the porch. I have food, water, and a litter box in there. I want to make sure the cat uses the litter box before I put her in a different room. I'm pretty sure she has her shots, but I'm going to have to ask my dad when he gets home.

Edit: I forgot to add.. it says "possible" new addition because my dad said I couldn't keep her/him. He said, " I don't want an ugly cat." Are you joking me..? I think she/ he is beautiful!! I'll have to work on him, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't bring her/him home if I couldn't have it.

Here are some pictures of her :) Please ignore the mess, we are in the process of moving

Looks like your new friend is a full fledged Lynx point Siamese alright!!!! Even down to the crossed eyes!!!
And what a gorgeous one at that!!!!
If it will help purr-suede Dear Ole Dad, Siamese are more like a dog in their behavior than that of a cat. You know how a dog will follow ya around, so will a meezer.
Sending good thoughts that you get to keep the meezer!!!

She's very pretty and interesting looking. :)
What did happen to her ear's? Do you know?
My cousin has a large black male tom cat that when it was a kitten the dog licked its ears so much the tips got frostbit. I know you live in MN.
Good Luck!!

I think that she's gorgeous.:) Her ears remind me of an American Curl. Maybe she's an American Curl/Siamese mix.:) Here's a link about them: American Curl (http://www.cfainc.org/breeds/profiles/american-curl.html).

As far as I'm concerned, if you're feline, that automatically puts you in the beautiful category.

S/he's gorgeous! I, too, am curious about the ears, but they don't make her ugly, they make her very unique. (Your manicure is cute too! ;) )

Thanks everyone. I talked to my dad a little bit (well more like argued) and I can keep her, but she has to stay outside. I guess it's not that big of a deal, CP comes inside all the time and goes out, and Mittens is outside all the time. We live way out in the country on a big farm. She has a place to get away from the dogs and anything else. Last night I put her out in the shed and put food and all that out there.

I'm not positive about her ears, I dont know her history before she was at the nursing home, but it looks to me like they were frostbitten off. I don't think they make her look ugly at all. :) I think she is BEAUTIFUL

Ugly??? I think not. She's unique and her markings are beautiful. Like many others, I'm quite taken with her ears, they make your kitty so special. Happy to hear your Dad agreed to let kitty stay. Once you get to know each other, the right name will come. Please let us know how she settles in?

Declawed and outside?? Not a good idea. Maybe in an enclosure. Or can Dad be persuaded to let her live inside?

Yes, I know her living outdoors is a very bad idea especially with her being declawed. I totally forgot today when I was with her gender for sure. :o I'll do it tomorrow if I remember. She is becomming even friendlier, and she isn't scared of the dogs at all anymore. Before the dogs used to chase her if you didn't watch them, because they weren't used to her being on our farm, but now they just ignore her like the other cats. She doesn't mind the horses, since she is sharing her home with them, and her and CP have met too... CP isn't to happy with her, but they sit about a foot away from each other and stare... nobody does anything but CP growls if she trys to come closer.

I still haven't found a name for her yet.. so suggestions are still welcome. I can't seem to find on that fits her.. :o
