I decided to make a new thread for him to post pictures as he grows and updated on him.

Today he was much more active and was walking around his tank thing so I decided to take him out in my backyard to walk around instead of in my room where he might get used to being inside. So I took him out and didn't touch him or anything (except when he got to close to somewhere that he could get away) and he started to eat some grass. Waht a relief I'm so scared that he isn't getting enough formula so by eating grass he's at least eating something else.

So yes I did get pictures while he was outside.

Aw this is going to be a great thread and I"ll definately be checking up on it for updates. Oliver is just so cute and those pictures are adorable! It looks like Oliver enjoyed himself outside for sure, I'm glad you were able to let him get some grass too, then he will still taste what wild outside tastes like:)

When I got him he weighed 3 ounces and now he's 2.5:( I think he's eating ALOT better now though.

Argh but Ducky stole his bottle and chewed the top of the nipple off so now I don't have anything to use to give him milk until after work. Good thing he is eating some grass now.

If you're concerned about his weight you could ask the vet if they'll sell you some Herbivore Critical Care. We use that at work to put weight on skinny bunnies/chinchillas/guinea pigs. :) He's such a cutie!

I just have one question, WHY WONT YOU KEEP HIM?
Does he bite you or hurt you or your animals? Or can you not afford to keep him?

He cannot be kept he is a wild orphaned rabbit, That would be cruel to keep him locked up.... Domestic rabbits are totally different.

What a cutie! He is getting bigger! Buttercup132, I missed the answer to this part of the question - where will he go when you are done raising him?

Eesh it's WRONG to keep wild animals no matter if you can tame them or not. I don't get why you don't understand that. When you see exotic animals for sale they aren't taken from the wild and then sold they are bred from domestic ones. It's totally different. And no he dosen't bite or anything and I could afford it but I also don't want another rabbit even if he was domestic. There isn't a problem with that. He's wild it's not fair to keep him inside, even though mine do go outside I also don't want to go through bonding again cause it's a pain in the butt. Why do you keep insiting on me keeping him anyways.

I live right by a HUGE trail that leads from (If anyone knows Ontario) Hamilton to Niagra Falls. And there is also a quarry which if you look up pictures of my dogs you'll see it . So that's where he will go.

He lost 2 more ounces though. The package did say it's common though for them to loose weight over the course of three days so hopefully he will start going up now. Picky little bugger the milk has to be warm all the time or he won't drink it.

Oh and I checked after making him go pee and we have a little boy for sure:) Lots of people say that you can't tell at this age but maybe they just can't.

EDIT: I just fed him again and found out a better way to get more milk out for him. He drank SO much and now he's up to 2.8 ounces:D
