(and I don't mean the weather, either)
I came home from a few errands and the healthy little boy Rain seems sick now. :( Vet appointment in 1 hour! (this is going to be the LONGEST 60 minutes in history.)
He is salivating and listless. No URI symptoms, no runny eyes or nose, no congestion, just a little boy who always was running and playing, now just laying saddly in a sunbeam, drooling and quivering.
I think I am shaking a little myself. :(

could he have eaten something??........!!
I wondered this also, but WHAT!?!?! I swear there is nothing he could have gotten into (poison-wise), a foreign body is possible I suppose (like a string, etc.). He looks so pitiful :(

Personally, I would not wait the hour but take him right away. Cant believe the vet's office would make you wait an hour considering his symptoms. Good luck, will keep good thoughts :)

Oh no, Jen, not little Rain! :( :( That poor sweet little boy. There's major LES going on here right now. Please know that prayers are being prayed and will continue that whatever may be bothering Rain isn't serious and he'll be back to the active, curious, playful kitten your PT friends fell so easily in love with in no time.
When you get the chance, please let us know what your vet has to say?
Hey there Rain, Be a good boy for Meowmie and the whitecoat. They want to find out why you don't feel good and help make you better. Sending tons of love and good vibes your way.

You have got to be kidding...the same lively little guy that is double the size of his fragile little sister.
My God Jen I hope he is ok. I agree with craftlady though what was the vet thinking telling you an hour considering his symtoms. I would take him in now.
Please let us know how things go. We have all fingers, toes, whiskers and paws crossed her and are sending out tons of prayers and good vibes for little Rain from Italy.

I would take him in right away too Jen.
I have been at the Vets when this happened and everyone cooperated and let the Pet who was ill go through.
I know you dont feed any of the danger foods so it may be a string.
Pet Angels are there with Rain and hes in ALL OUR PRAYERS.

He is OK, thank you God!
Vet says it sounds like he went into hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). His symptoms would be right for that. And babies often need HELP eating, so even though food was available at all times, he might have just "forgotten" to eat and he went too long without calories.
The vet says they BOTH look good! :) And even though Maybelline is only 14 oz. (Rain is 19 ounces) she looks like she'll make it. Her big belly, (that had me worried) is just a normal kitten belly.
So I just need to make sure they get more FOOD (and less milk).
I guess I got panicky because of losing Spring. Sorry to worry you, but thanks for the prayers.

Thank you God is right. No need to apologize for anything with the symptoms you decribed I would have completed freaked out. I would need a doctor myself not just the kitty.
It is so great to hear that the vet thinks they will be both make it. Some promising and happy news at last. :)
Keep it up Rain and Maybelline you are little miracles you know and PT loves you both so.

Thank Gawd he's all right. I guess kittens just get too busy exploring the big new world and forget to eat. I'm glad it was something simple; you'll just have to be like a real mom telling her kids to eat! Eat! Eat something! :D

Oh Jen - thank God he is okay!
I was just about to log out for the last time before Sir Jury, and this news is a perfect sign-off bit!
And...the kitty with the hernia in Health...is finally getting his surgery this afternoon.
I am happy!
EAT, Rain, EAT! :)

Thats fantastic news that Rain is all right.
I remember whe we had Kittens my Mother would give them bits of ham and beef in gravy.
Little bits and they sure worked.
Our Prayers and Thoughts are with Rain and Maybeline.

I can only imagine how relieved you must be with this news, Jen! We're all friends here with our kitties as our strong common bond, please don't ever feel as though you need to apologize to us especially when it's your kitties. We can't help you if you don't let us know what you need!
