OMG...I Thought Today Was Saturday!

I woke up at 9:45am this morning, got a quick breakfast & turned the t.v. on. Sat down and saw that Ellen was on t.v. interviewing Mike Myers. Ellen says "Shrek 2 opens today". I was thinking, why is Ellen on t.v. on Saturday and why is Shrek 2 opening on a Saturday? Then I slowly started to wonder...is this Friday or Saturday? I went to the kitchen window to look down the street and sure enough...all the kids were in school. I freaked out! I was supposed to be at work for 8. So I called a co-worker and told her what happened and booked it to get dressed and booked it to work (I work 35 minutes away from where I live).

But I couldn't believe it. I even thought about my plans for the day (Saturday).

I've done this in the past, but I've woken up at 6 or 6:30 thinking it was Saturday and then 10 minutes later realizing it's a work-day. But almost 3 hours? And turning the t.v. on and watching it?

Oh no! Well....ok I did do that once several years ago, for about 45 minutes until work called wondering where I was. Talk about poor confusion! :eek:

isn't it fun? luckly I haven't done that since I've worked at Samsung, cause that would be a 40-50km error :S not sure of the distance, but its about 7.00 in gas/day

just a funny post for you all....... you know daylight saving time changes right?...... well one day my FIL drove my BIL (then in elementary school) to school at 5 a.m. (he hadn´t changed the clock) and to top it off on a saturday!!

I too get confused a lot some days...... specialy when you get a day off in between the week

Yep, I've done it too. One time I was out walking the dog, it was about 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday, and I saw my next door neighbor. While chatting she mentioned something about her husband going to work that morning and I asked her why Mike had to go to work on a Saturday. That is when she told me it was Friday. :eek: I called work and told them I would be in half a day. ;)

Oh my! I've done what king2005 has done. I woke up early (like 2am) and realized I didn't turn on my alarm. So I turned it on and went back to sleep and then somehow realized it was Sunday morning, so I turned it off. But I had totally panicked at first!! :eek: I hate it when that happens.

when i was in high school,(a long time ago) my mom woke up in a panic on morning, hollering wake up! wake up! we overslept!. MOM! my brother hollered back it's saturday!. love these stories. and it's saturday morning now here too, maybe i'll call my mom...hmmm :D
