Good Bye Sweet Lady Baby.....

Many of you know the story of sweet Lady. A gentle Pit Bull I pulled from a Wisconsin pound about a month back. She was very ill with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia and Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia, basically in english...her body was attacking her platelets that clot her blood and she was bleeding internally. The vet tried everything, god bless him for that. But with all of his and our efforts and prayers, Lady was put down today. I stayed with her while she passed and helped her go knowing I loved her and she was not alone. I only had her a short time, but I loved her so. Everybody that met her did. She was always full of butt wiggles even in the end.

Rest in peace sweet Lady Baby, I will never forget you. I love you.

Godspeed Lady. You really were a very special girl. You were much loved by many here on PT and Tracy really showed you that you were worthy of being loved. Your time may have been short with her but it was quality and meant the world to her.

Tracy you were Lady's guardian angel here on earth and now she is yours from the Bridge. She will be there waiting for you with kisses and butt wiggles when that day comes.

I'm too sad from the day's events to make a new post, so I am just copying my post from her other thread to put here. I'm sorry Lady, they did everything they could.

I'm just crying my eyes out. First Emerson and now Lady. I expected to hear this but actually hearing it breaks my heart. I really identifed with her, my Ginger went through a lot of the same. Abuse before I got her, had a litter of pups freshly weaned the day I picked her up. SHe also got so sick and was in so much pain and almost died on me too, then I look at her now and she is so happy. I wanted that for Lady. I'm just heartbroken.

You did the best you could for her. At least in her last days you gave her love and happiness and she didn't leave this world alone and unloved.

I already replied to the other thread. I am feeling so sad today, as we all are. Tracy, you are not alone. I know how hard this is for you and my heart is broken in pieces for you. You were so brave to do what you had to do today. Lady could never have lived a healthy life with all the problems she had. There was no other choice but to send her to heaven to be our newest angel. You did the right thing and we will never forget how hard you tried. We all made a gallant PT effort to help bring another miracle but in this case, it wasn't meant to be. :( :( :(

I am so sorry to hear about Lady. I am just glad she was with you in her last days and got to know how it feels to be loved. Every dog deserves that and you were there to give it to her. That should make you feel very good.

I am so very sorry for your loss, this was the same thing my beloved boy Mousse passed away from. It always breaks my heart when one our beloved goes to the Bridge but Lady's passing hit a nerve more so than others because of this. Thank you everybody. This has been so hard. All night at work all I kept thinking about was Lady. I keep seeing her face every time I close my eyes....even when they are open. I miss her very much. I know it was the best for her and I know that she knew I loved her and I know she loved me and my family. I miss her butt wiggles, her bark, everything. I thought I would be better today. I am more at ease knowing she is not suffering any longer, but it still hurts deeply. Thank you all for your kind words. Thank you to all of those that asked your RB pups to help her be happy there. I know she will be.

I wasn't able to reply to this thread last night and I apoligize I wasn't able to. I just didn't know what to say. :( I am so very sorry. :( You are an angel for taking Lady in when you did and giving her a chance at life and letting her know what a home was all about. Just know you didn't fail her, her so called "owners" did. You gave her everything you could you gave her medical care, love, and you cherished her until the end and I know Lady knew that you loved her. Life just isn't fair at times. :( I know she had the best days of her life with YOU and I am certain she is waiting for you at the bridge.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about Lady passing :( You didn't know her for very long, but you filled her with a lifetime worth of love in the short time you were together, and that was such a wonderful gift for that sweet girl. She was granted the gift of love before she had to leave this earth, and that is all she needed. Bless you for gifting her with such love, and letting her be treated the way a dog deserves to be treated, if even for just a short while.
