I had to be the first to make this board, sorry. I am so excited for this movie to come out, and best of all it comes out on a FRIDAY night!! Me and a bunch of my friends(around 4-7) are all going to see it the very first night and I of course, will wear my POTC shirt.
I thought this movie looked pretty bad, but NO way, POTC can never be bad. I am so excited. 13 more days!! :D This movie looks great, action-packed funny. I hope it's good.
Any other pirate fans of PT sharing my excitement?
(stupid question, it's obvious)

I may be going to see it Friday afternoon with my friends after our exams finish (we're allowed to leave school early if we don't take the subjects examined in the final afternoon - woot!). If I don't see it then I'll be going with family. It looks really good from the trailer, hope it lives up to its reputation!

I *think* I have my plans now for POTC 3 this year. I am probably having a little "gathering" after school at my house on Thursday(May 24th) and me and my group of friends who are going to see the movie are gonna watch the 2nd one togather. Then, on Friday we will see the movie togather or I will just ditch them all and go with my Dad at midnight(if my theater has one) to see it since I know my friends won't be allowed. Plus, we won't have school or work the next day, so it works out beautifully! ;) Can't wait.

The movie was WONDERFUL.
Do not read below if you do not want to be spoiled! :p
I wasn't really happy with the ending since Jack did not get the Pearl. But I am kind of glad he admitted his feelings to Elizabeth in his own way. But was also sad that he didn't let her kiss him again or whatever she was gonna do. But I guess that just means more since they only need one kiss.
Ahem, sorry for my Sparrabeth rant.
Calypso freaked me out and her and Davy Jones' love story was rather depressing. And then when Will died, I started bawling even though he is not my favorite character.
And then I loved when Jack rescued Liz.
"Wait, I lost me brain!" haha.
And then shirtless Jack. OMG. *dies*
I guess that's about it.
Overall I loved the movie.

I JUST got home from the movie. I have to say I am so impressed at how good it was, I was so mad because when I read the ending I thought it sucked but I was so wrong..I am in love with the movie and the two hottest actors on the face of this earth..It was a bit too "animated" at some parts but otherwise it was awesome!!!
Very action-packed!! :D Somewhat funny too. Me and my friend Rachel were taking pics with our phones in the theater. ;) :D  :p

EXCELLENT movie! I didn't even see the second one, so the plot made no sense to me whatsoever, and I didn't even care. It's all about the one-liners, action, sight gags, and magnificent visuals - and that opening scene has to be one of the most powerful things I've seen. I have GOT to learn that song. (Loved the swing at the abridgement of habeas corpus and trial by jury too!)

The song is called Hoist the Colors and I'm sure I can find the lyrics here somewhere..
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.
The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will well roam.
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.
Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage…
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!
The bell has been raised
from it’s watery grave…
Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high…
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

I saw it yesterday, earlier than planned. It was great, although I was ill all throughout it which was kinda annoying. It was packed with lots of action, far more than the other two, which made it really gripping.
The only bit in which I got confuzzled was when there was that crew full of Jacks when he was in Davy Jones's Locker. I thought it was funny but didn't exactly see why it was significant. When I saw the shirtless Jacks, I thought of all you pirate fanatics and my friend Katherine (midget gem) with your mouths agape and smiled to myself. ;)
So, do you reckon there'll be a POTC 4? It seems like the scene for the next one is set, with Jack sailing off into the distance...

Zara, how did you know I'd be shocked at the shirtless Jacks? ;)
I read that they might write a screenplay for the fourth movie but they don't know if they can make it into a movie. I also read that Knightley and Orlando Bloom aren't interested in doing another POTC so I don't know. I'm unsure about Johnny Depp as well. If he doesn't do it, sorry but I won't be seeing that movie. NO one can play Jack's role like him. I also read they might kill Will off in the third movie. What would POTC be without Will, the original jack, and all the other casts? In my opinion anyway that would be a pretty lousy movie.
If what I read was true, I hope they DON'T make a 4th movie. :( I am actually quite contented with the ending of this one. I knew Barbossa was going to do something to Jack because that's just the way the character is. ;)
*spoiler warning*
ETA: If they do go along with this fourth movie, the plot would have to be alot similar to the one in the first one I think. The first one starts out the same as the ending to this one, Barbossa steals the Black Pearl AGAIN. How will they make it different? Jack chases after him, and then kills him again. It just won't make much sense to me.

I seen the movie last night and it was absolutely amazing! I am so in love with it and I want to go see it again so badly! Did anyone watch till the end of the credits, cause the movie doesn't end with just Jack sailing away, at the end of the credits it shows him coming back 10 years later and Elizabeth has a kid:)

I'm a huge fan of the Pirates... and of course Johnny Depp! I thought it was a bit boring until the middle to end part it got really good. IMO, they could've made the movie a lot shorter and cut out some parts to keep people a bit more interested. Sure, there was a lot of action, which made it exciting too. Overall, I guess I liked it, but I like the second one a little more.

if you could fill me in that´ll be great!!........

I don't think we were supposed to understand her. I don't think it's possible to understand what she said, so it was probably meant that way.

I believe she was just screaming or uttering some sort of spell. I don't think it was meant to be understood.
Oh and at the multiple Jack scene, I would've loved to be on that ship with all of those shirtless Jacks. Yummo! :p I made a signature out of some screencaps that I have. It's not that good as I am still a beginner in Photoshop arts.

I LOVED it though, every minute. I wish it was longer. I TOLD you I was right BRI! I want to see it again asap. I was preoccupied with my baby kitty who was at home with my mom. (He died, he was an abandoned runt, approx. 10 days old. Thread in cat memorial when I can bear to make it.)
I've already bought some of the soundtrack and I'm going to buy the rest soon. I love Hans Zimmer's work, especially in PotC, King Arthur, and Spirit.

I think that very first scene was among the best movie scenes I've ever watched. Mostly for the song, but I also liked the swipe at England for abridging habeas corpus and trial by jury.
In all that over-the-top fighting and special-effects chaos, I found a really cool theme - that pirates who can't cooperate to save their already long-gone lives are nowhere near as scary as bloodless bullies who can.

So I went and saw it last night - after a bunch of my friends tried convincing me not too, apparently they all thought it was horrid :p
But overall I thought it was a good movie -- with incredibly stupid parts. Like the 20ft tall Calypso and the crabs carrying the Pearl to water, to just name two ;) It just seemed to be full of a lot of "fillers" and not a strong enough storyline. But that was just my opinon of it! But the ship full of Jack's and Will towards the end made up for it *drools* :D

I agree with you, about some stupid parts. But they needed, the Calypso(even though it scared the living crap outta me) to create the storm, so I don't think it was too stupid. But you're right about other parts being fillers. This movie isn't as good as the other two, I LOVE the second one.

I saw it Saturday night. I thought it was really well done. I didn't mind how long it was, seems like they are all longer than your average movie.
