The Gentle Giant
ENGLISH MASTIFF

full of kindness, love and personality

Of course, my buddies Zack the Lab and Roz the Boxer are very, very special too! Since I am the baby of the family I guess I just get a little spoiled. I am also the extrovert of the family and I guess because of my size it's a little difficult not to notice just how cute I am!;)

Those are beautiful dogs. I have never been around one though so I am not familiar with their temporments.

So you have a maltese? I had one as a child, he lived to be 20 years old. Mine was quite independant.

Wow, 20 years old. I have never heard of one to live to be that old. Tango will be 9 in Novemeber. I don't know if I would say that he was independent, he really loves to be right where I am. Tango is the most loving and smart dog that I have ever come into contact with. I will probably always have malteses.

I think the longivity was in part due to my marrying a Veterinarian who gave Sugar extra special attention and stayed on top of his health. I got him when I was 10 and married as he was getting on in age and was 13 years old.

I forgot to mention, welcome to Pet Talk. I guess that I should get my fiance to change his major from computer information systems to veternarian so that I can keep my Tango for a while. Ha! I doubt that he would go for that. I bet that was so hard to lose Sugar after all those years. I got Tango when I was 13, I don't know what I would do without him.

I saw this and though that you might like seeing it. Is this the same breed?

YES! That pup looks to be about 7 months old or so. I tried several times to attach a picture of Chanel, but I was not successful. Is there a trick to attachments?

You just click the browse button down below where it says attach file, once you are in there, find the file where you saved the picture and click open. It should come up and then submit the reply. I hope that helps.

I used to raise Rotties --- I just love them! What a beautiful face your Angus has. It reminds me soooo much of my Reicher.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but I love these pictures you guys have shared with us.

I was offered a mastiff puppy a couple of years ago, by a lady that raises them, but couldn't get it because my fence wasn't high enough. I went by to see them every day, though, while I lived in that town.

Since I moved, I haven't been able to see them. They are truly gentle giants!

I love all dogs but my favorite breeds have to be Pitts and Labs
