i have a cat thats almost 10 months old.here's the problem...yesterday i noticed she was acting like she was having problems peeing and pooping.i watched her for a while and she would make many trips to the litter box but nothing would happen.last time she went there were two pin size drops of pee after about 5 minutes of her trying.she has been a healthy cat since we got her,ive never had a problem like this with any of my cats i've ever had.
i have also notice she isnt drinking as much as she was a few days ago.
her belly isnt hard like its full where she cant go.she doesnt seem to be in any pain.i did get her to drink a little more water tonight.how worried should i be at this point.shes still running around chasing anything that moves and things that aren't moving.should i rush her to the vet for tests or wait a bit to see if she starts getting better on her own.i know shes not used to the heat and it was pretty hot here yesterday.i know when a person doesnt drink enough it will affect how much they pee and poop is this the same for cats? ive looked the internet over for hours and she really doesnt have the signs and only one symptom of anything blocked.and thats just that she isnt going to the bathroom like she was.any help would be great. thanks so much

Definitely get her to the vet right away! Blockages don't generally clear up on their own, at least for very long. You may need to change the kind of food she's eating, but only urinalysis can determine precisely what change needs to be made.

Cats don't show that they're feeling bad until they're in VERY rough shape. Get her to the doctor before she sustains permanent damage.

I agree with Columbine....you should take the kitty to the vet just to get her checked out.

Let us know how she gets on.

Your description of her behaviour screams out "blockage!" Please please get her in to the vet for a check, and let us know how she is doing.
