DonGato's Person

I just read My Peanuts' post about her hamster Vivian; it brought back some sad memories.
A few years ago, I had two hamsters-siblings-named Fuzzy and Nibbles. They lived to the ripe old age of four years (for a hamster, that's really old. But about two months after their 4th birthday, they both died. Nibbles caught some kind of parasite; Fuzzy developed cancer. There was really nothing I could do. I didn't know of any small animal-veteranarians, so I just had to let them pass on. I still remember when Fuzzy died. He was going to his water bottle when he collapsed. He lay there panting for a while, then passed to the Rainbow Bridge. Nibbles died a few days later of blood loss.
That was two years ago, but I still grieve when I think of them.
Play hard at the RB, guys. I hope there's broccoli.
