Loki you would have won me over too!! One look at those adorable puppy eyes and then some puppy kisses - - well you would have been going home with me too. :) My husband also said "no more dogs" after our last poodle went to the RB in 1998. I lasted three years as a dogless person but my cravings grew. Then one day in 2001 I called him from a breeder I was visiting on the sly and asked him if I might bring home a puppy and he said "yes." That said, I totally related to your story. :) It goes without saying that I wish you years and years of happiness together, and my heartiest congratulations go out to you Loki on DOTD!

I was so touched by this. So many of us often feel that once we lose a loved one, there is no replacing that Love... but, sometimes we somehow find room in our broken hearts to give Love to someone else and begin to heal. Loki found you. Animals are very intelligent and can pick up on our sorrows or joys... he needs you as much as you need him.

Loki is such a cute and thoughtful puppy...a wonderful companion.
