Pouncer truly is an amazing cat. He is so sweet and tolerant of Cameron.... its amazing me just how much he'll accept from Cameron without flinching.
He was sunbathing by the balcony door this afternoon. Cameron crawled up to him. He ignored Cam. Cam tried to make handles of Pouncer's ears. Pouncer let him tug and pull while he continued his sunbath. Cam grabbed two huge fistfulls of Pouncer fur and lifted Pouncer straight off the floor...... the only reaction from Pouncer was to turn his head and look at me as if to say "a little help would be nice". I removed Cam's fists from the fur and Pouncer resumed his nap as if nothing ever happened. When Cameron left the room, Pouncer accepted chin scritchies and purred his furry little head off.
Oh, and great news on the Pouncer front too -- he's officially cleared of crystals and can resume a regular diet again! :)

Ummm...isn't the special diet supposed to prevent a recurrence? What is his normal diet?
Glad to hear he is being so sweet with Cam! :)

His normal diet is Prescription Royal Canin crystal diet. Its also a weight management food (because Pouncer and the rest of my gang are rather "fluffy"). ITs the same thign as Hills' CD, but since I hate Hills, its Royal Canin - and boy what a fight that was to get my vet to give me something other than Hills!

Awww cutie Pouncer! :) What a lovely boy you are! So sweet and tolerant! I bet you and Cam will be bestest buddies soon. Smart boy, you are investing in your future cuddles!
Amazing what some will put up with. We had a cat named Gigi when I was 13ish. Along came my bouncing baby brother to torment her! Gigi wasn't known for her layed back nature...her living legacy was to poop on my sisters final art project the night before it was due! Apparently Gigi was an art critic and deemed sis to not be the next Picasso!
In any case, Andrew would squeal at the top of his lungs when seeing Gigi and grab her ears like he was on a motorcycle! She'd put up with it but soon learned that the little bugger couldn't do stairs and when she'd had all she could stand she'd scamper to the second floor or basement!
Scritches to you Pouncer...you are earning some big points with your meowmie!!

Kim, I knew you would have your boy on good stuff, I just worried when I read 'regular diet' :) .
So he won't need the Sir Jury?
That is great!
Ummm....aren't we a bit overdue for some pics? (hint hint)

What a boy! A built in babysitter that takes abuse! I find they do understand the concept of "baby human" and treat them with a gentleness we didn't know they had.

The very Pouncer who hisses at his former foster meowmie and even takes a swat at my face each time I see him, is SO tolerant! Who'd a thunk it?

He's is a built in daycare provider, sounds like.
Pippin too is on the Royal Canin diet - has been for over 6 months and no more crystals! And the vet put him on cosequin....? supposedly for the bladder? guess it strengthens the cells that make up the bladder lining so they resist infections better...?
Whatever, it's working.
Hope the sweet Pouncer boy stays healthy. Ya gotta love 'em.
