Hi Fluffy! You're a cutie! I'm glad you enjoyed your meal! Chubby had one tonight too, I didn't think she would eat because she's preparing to shed, but she did!

I'm eating right now and it doesn't bother me at all. I always am surprised how the little snakes get down the big mice =) I also love the lumps in their tummy's !!!!

Lute: I can't answer for wenisrubber, but I get my mice from a local pet store who gets them from www.rodentpro.com (I could order direct but their minimum order is large and their shimmping is expensive)

I use them for two reasons. 1) the mice are always plump and healthy looking. 2) I emailed a bunch of companies when I was looking for a source of frozen feeders and rodentpro emailed me back to assure me that they kill their mice humanely. They were the only company that addressed my concerns at all, and I was satisfied that their mice didn't suffer.

Do you know if it is inhumane for newborn mice to freeze to death?

I certainly think so. They have a fully developed nervous system, so they would feel it.

How do they humanely kill them?

Gas...carbon monoxide if I'm not mistaken. They just drift off.
